How does Apex Trader Funding work? Evaluation, PA and live account
Apex Trader Funding is a futures-only prop firm headquartered in Austin, Texas, USA. It replaced its products on 2026-03-01, and the current lineup has 2 products: Intraday Trail and EOD Trail. The company publishes a list of restricted countries, so check the official page before you apply to make sure your country is not listed. The fee for receiving payouts outside the US is under review.
- 1. Evaluation (sim account, one-time payment)
This is the Apex Trader Funding evaluation. On a 50K account, you pass when you reach the $3,000 profit target without touching the $2,000 maximum drawdown. There are no minimum trading days, so you can pass in 1 day. It expires 30 calendar days after purchase with no extensions or resets, so if you fail, you buy a new one.
- 2. Performance Account (funded sim account, PA)
You activate this account within 7 calendar days of passing. It is still a sim account, but you can withdraw the profits you make here, and the trader share is 100%. Each account allows up to 6 payouts, and the PA is closed after the 6th. You can hold up to 20 PAs per household in total.
- 3. Live (live account)
Apex Trader Funding invites traders after reviewing their trading and payout history. You cannot apply for this stage yourself. If you are selected, you cannot use Live and sim at the same time, and your PAs become inactive. The Live profit split is 90%.
Note that 2 sets of rules exist under the same company name. Products sold before 2026-03-01 are called Legacy; they are monthly subscriptions, allow resets and follow different rules. Legacy new sales ended on 2026-03-01, but as of 2026-11-04 the official site is reselling them for a "limited time". You can hold both Legacy and current products, but you cannot convert a Legacy account into a current product. "Monthly subscription", "7 days minimum", "the 5:1 rule" and "30% consistency" are Legacy rules. According to official information checked on 2026-11-04, current products are a one-time payment, have no minimum trading days, and have dropped the 5:1 rule and the MAE rule. Unless noted otherwise, this page describes the rules for current products.

- Prices can change, so always check the amount on the checkout page.
- The evaluation lasts 30 calendar days from purchase and expires at 6:00 PM ET on Day 30. There are no extensions or resets; if you fail, you buy a new one.
- A 5-Pack bundles 5 evaluations of the same size and product. All 5 share the same 30-day period, and PA activation fees cannot be bought in bulk. The EOD Trail 100K and 150K No Activation Fee are not available as a 5-Pack.
- There are no refunds of any kind. First purchases, PA activation fees, data fees, choosing the wrong plan or connection, platform or data outages, and forgetting to apply a discount are all excluded.
- Accepted payment methods are Visa, Mastercard and Discover (credit and debit) in your own name. American Express, gift cards and crypto are not accepted.
- Legacy (former products) is a monthly subscription and, as of 2026-11-04, is being resold for a limited time. The 50K monthly fee is $197 on Rithmic and WealthCharts and $247 on Tradovate, and the PA activation fee is $125 or $130. There are 6 sizes from 25K to 300K, and billing continues every month until you cancel.
Total cost by attempt: Apex Trader Funding Standard vs No Activation Fee
Current products have no resets, so if you fail you buy the evaluation again. The cost to activate a PA is therefore calculated as evaluation fee x number of purchases + PA activation fee. At list price, Standard is cheaper for every size and product, even if you pass on the first attempt. For example, 50K Intraday Trail costs $348 on Standard and $799 on No Activation Fee.
| Product and fee type | Pass on 1st attempt | Pass on 2nd attempt | Pass on 3rd attempt |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50K Intraday Trail Standard | $348 | $597 | $846 |
| 50K Intraday Trail No Activation Fee | $799 | $1,598 | $2,397 |
| 50K EOD Trail Standard | $719 | $1,309 | $1,899 |

Apex Trader Funding Plans Compared (EOD vs Intraday, Legacy, Activation Fees, Total Cost)Rules
What are the Apex Trader Funding evaluation rules? 50K: $3,000 target, $2,000 max drawdown
The numbers you must follow in the current Apex Trader Funding evaluation are set by account size. On a 50K account, you pass when you reach the $3,000 profit target before your losses hit the $2,000 maximum drawdown. There are no minimum trading days, and there is no consistency rule or scaling during the evaluation. Only EOD Trail has a daily loss limit; hitting it stops trading for the day but does not fail you. Passing is judged on the closing balance at 4:59:59 PM ET.

- Trading hours: the trading day starts at 6:00 PM ET, and you must close all positions by 4:59 PM ET. Closing positions is the trader's responsibility. Holding overnight or over the weekend is prohibited conduct, and violations lead to forfeiture of the account and balance.
- Livestock and grains close out earlier: HE, LE and GF at 2:05 PM ET, and ZC, ZW, ZS, ZM and ZL at 2:20 PM ET.

- Pass check: passing is judged on the closing balance at 4:59:59 PM ET, and "Passed" appears after 6:00 PM ET. A passed evaluation account is locked to prevent further trading.
- Hitting the EOD Trail daily loss limit only stops trading for the day and does not fail you. The trading day rolls over at 6:00 PM ET.
- You can trade economic releases with your normal strategy. "News trading strategies" that chase the market or place orders on both sides to bet on the outcome are prohibited.
- Automated trading, algorithms and HFT are prohibited. Hedging is not allowed in any form, including opposite positions in the same or correlated products (mini and micro, ES and YM, NQ and ES and so on), across your own accounts, or with members of your household or related parties.
- Tradable products: CME equity indexes (ES, NQ, EMD, RTY, NKD), CBOT YM, CME FX futures (6A, 6B, 6C, 6E, 6J, 6S, 6N), livestock and agriculture, energy (CL, QM, NG and others), metals (GC, SI and others), micros (MES, MNQ, MGC, MCL and others), the crypto futures MBT and MET, and EUREX futures (some on Tradovate only).
- The Legacy evaluation follows different rules. For 50K, it lists a $3,000 profit target, a $2,500 maximum drawdown, a maximum of 10 contracts and a minimum of 7 trading days.

The rule to watch most closely at Apex Trader Funding is how the maximum drawdown moves.
Apex Trader Funding Rules (Drawdown, 50% Consistency, Prohibited Activities)Drawdown
How does the Apex Trader Funding drawdown work? It only moves up, and where it stops depends on the connection
On both products, the Apex Trader Funding maximum drawdown only moves up and never down. The difference is the basis for calculating the line. Intraday Trail follows the highest balance including open profit, even during the day, while EOD Trail recalculates every day on the 4:59:59 PM ET close. During the evaluation, whether the line stops also depends on your account connection. The chart shows a 50K EOD Trail evaluation on Tradovate as an example.
- Balance
- Loss floor (end of day)
- Does not lock on Tradovate. On Rithmic and WealthCharts it locks once the balance reaches the profit target.
Apex Trader Funding max drawdown by account size
| Item | Intraday Trail | EOD Trail |
|---|---|---|
| Max drawdown 50K | $2,000 | $2,000 |
| Basis for the line | Highest balance, including open profit | Highest closing balance at 4:59:59 PM ET |
| When touching the line is checked | Real time | Real time during the next session |
| Where it stops in the evaluation, Rithmic and WealthCharts | Locks when the line reaches the profit target balance (official sources conflict: the example says $53,000 for 50K, the FAQ says "Profit Target Balance + $2,000") | Locks when the line reaches the profit target balance ($53,000 for 50K) |
| Where it stops in the evaluation, Tradovate | Does not stop | Does not stop |
| Where it stops in the PA | Starting balance + $100 ($50,100 for 50K) | Starting balance + $100 ($50,100 for 50K) |
| Evaluation daily loss limit 50K | None | $1,000 (stops trading for the day only) |
- A 50K account starts with a $50,000 balance, and the line starts at $48,000. If your balance touches this line even once, you fail the evaluation and all positions are closed.
- If you end day 1 at $50,600 on EOD Trail, the line rises to $48,600. Even if your balance reached $51,200 during the day, the line is $48,600 when the close is $50,600.
Show 5 more notes
- The line does not move down on losing days. If day 2 ends at $50,200, the line stays at $48,600, and your remaining room shrinks to $1,600.
- Even on EOD Trail, the line applies in real time during the next session. Even if you expect to recover by the close, you fail the moment an open loss touches the line.
- On Intraday Trail, the line also rises with open profit during the day. If your balance reaches $51,200 during the day and then closes at $50,600, the line is $49,200. Watch out for pullbacks after your profit grows.
- On Tradovate evaluations, the line does not stop and keeps rising. On Rithmic and WealthCharts evaluations, the line locks when it reaches the profit target balance. Official sources conflict on where it locks: the example in the Intraday Trail drawdown article says the 50K line locks at $53,000, while the FAQ in the same article says "Profit Target Balance + $2,000".
- In the PA, the line stops when it reaches the starting balance + $100. On 50K, once your highest balance reaches $52,100, the line locks at $50,100.

Payouts
How do Apex Trader Funding payouts work? 100% PA profit split, up to 6 per account
At Apex Trader Funding, you request payouts from the funded sim account (PA) after you pass. The profit split is 100%, and the minimum payout is $500. To request a payout, you must meet 3 requirements: a number of qualifying days, 50% consistency, and a minimum balance to request. Official articles describe the number of qualifying days differently: the payout article says 5 days, while the payout method article says "5 of 8 trading days at $50 or more". Which one applies is under review, so the table shows both. Traders outside the US receive funds through Plane.
| Item (50K account) | Intraday Trail PA | EOD Trail PA |
|---|---|---|
| Qualifying days required | Official sources conflict: 5 days (payout article), 5 of 8 trading days at $50 or more (payout method article) | Official sources conflict: 5 days (payout article), 5 of 8 trading days at $50 or more (payout method article) |
| Minimum profit per qualifying day | $200 | $250 |
| Consistency | Best profit day under 50% of net profit | Best profit day under 50% of net profit |
| Minimum balance to request | $52,600 | $52,600 |
| Safety Net (entire life of the PA) | $52,100 | $52,100 |
| 1st payout cap | $1,500 | $1,500 |
| 6th payout cap | $3,000 | $3,000 |
| Total of the 6 payout caps | $14,500 | $13,000 |
| Profit split | 100% | 100% |
| Minimum payout | $500 | $500 |
How to receive Apex Trader Funding payouts
| Payout method | Who can use it | Time | Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plane | Traders outside the US. Requires a bank account in your own name in your country of residence | Review within 2 business days, transfer 3 to 4 business days, bank 3 to 7 business days | Verifying |
| ACH direct deposit | US residents. Requires a US bank account and an SSN or TIN | Review within 2 business days, transfer 3 to 4 business days, bank 3 to 7 business days | Verifying |
| Live account payouts | Invitation-only live account | Sent to payment processing within 48 hours of the request | Verifying |
- The minimum profit per qualifying day is $100 for 25K, $200 for 50K, $250 for 100K and $300 for 150K on the Intraday Trail PA, and $100 for 25K, $250 for 50K, $300 for 100K and $350 for 150K on the EOD Trail PA.
- The payout article defines qualifying days as "5 days (not necessarily in a row)", but the payout method article still says "at least 8 trading days before the next request, 5 of them at $50 or more". The official site does not say which is correct, so this is under review.
Show 7 more notes
- The 50% consistency rule applies only to the PA. Your best profit day must be under 50% of net profit since the last approved payout (or since the start, for the first payout). If you do not meet it, the request button simply does not appear; you do not fail. As a guide, best profit day / 0.5 = net profit required.
- You can keep trading after you submit a request. However, if your balance falls below the minimum balance after the request, the request is denied automatically (the account remains). On Tradovate, the real-time balance at the time of the request and the absence of open positions are checked.
- The Plane invitation arrives by email after your first payout is approved. Registration requires a government ID number or passport number. Apex Trader Funding does not issue tax forms to traders outside the US.
- The receiving account must be in your own name, and payouts cannot go from a personal account to a business account (or the reverse).
- PA position size and daily loss limit for the next day are set by the previous day's closing profit (scaling). On 50K, profit of $0-1,499 allows 2 contracts and $1,000, $1,500-2,999 allows 3 contracts and $1,000, $3,000-5,999 allows 4 contracts and $2,000, and $6,000 or more allows 4 contracts and $3,000. The PA daily loss limit is monitored including open losses; hitting it closes all positions and stops trading for the day, but the account remains.
- The live account (Live) profit split is 90%. You can request payouts daily, with a $500 minimum, no cap, and no trading day or daily profit requirements. You can withdraw profits above the $3,100 Safety Net.
- The Legacy PA follows different rules: at least 8 trading days with 5 days of $50 or more profit, 30% consistency, and 100% of the first $25,000 per account followed by 90%.

If nothing here worries you, getting started with Apex Trader Funding takes 5 steps.
How to start
How do you start with Apex Trader Funding? 5 steps from sign-up to your first payout request
The Apex Trader Funding process happens on the official site. Three things are worth knowing first: identity verification happens at sign-up, the account connection you choose at purchase cannot be changed later, and you lose the right to a PA if you do not activate it within 7 calendar days of passing.
1. Create a user account on the official site
Sign up on the official Apex Trader Funding site. You can have up to 1 personal and 1 business user account; any beyond that are closed and their profits forfeited. Creating new accounts in the same household to get around this limit is also prohibited.
1Apex Trader Funding official site (new lineup since 2026-03)Apex official homepage (Source: Apex Trader Funding official site, English page, captured 2026-11-05) 2. Complete identity verification
Identity verification happens at sign-up. Accepted documents are a driver license, a residence permit (excluding temporary stays and student visas), a passport, a state ID and a physical government-issued ID card. Copies, temporary IDs, expired IDs, visas alone, student or employer IDs, digital versions and images shown on a screen are not accepted.
3. Choose a product, fee type, size and connection, then pay
Choose Intraday Trail or EOD Trail, Standard or No Activation Fee, a size from 25K to 150K, and a connection: Rithmic, Tradovate or WealthCharts. You cannot change the connection later, and choosing the wrong one is not refunded. Pay with a Visa, Mastercard or Discover in your own name.
4. Pass within 30 calendar days and activate the PA within 7 calendar days
The evaluation expires 30 calendar days after purchase. Passing is judged on the closing balance at 4:59:59 PM ET, and "Passed" appears after 6:00 PM ET. From then, you activate the PA within 7 calendar days. On Standard, you pay the activation fee ($99 for 50K Intraday), and creating the PA takes up to 6 hours.
5. Request a payout once you meet the requirements
Once you meet the qualifying day, 50% consistency and minimum balance requirements, request a payout from the PA. Traders outside the US register a bank account in their own name in their country of residence through the Plane invitation email sent after the first approval. Funds usually arrive in about 5 to 11 business days.

Platforms
Which platforms does Apex Trader Funding support? Rithmic, Tradovate and WealthCharts
Apex Trader Funding has no in-house trading platform. At purchase, you choose 1 of 3 account connections: Rithmic, Tradovate or WealthCharts. The connection affects whether the maximum drawdown stops during the evaluation and how much you pay in commissions. For the front end, you can connect NinjaTrader, TradingView (through Tradovate), ATAS, Quantower, Sierra Chart and others. Automated trading is prohibited.

Common breaches
Why do traders fail at Apex Trader Funding? 14 pitfalls from the official rules
The reasons you can lose an Apex Trader Funding evaluation or PA are written in the official rules. Below are the ones that the wording of the rules suggests are easy to run into, each split into the official rule and how to avoid it. They also cover points where current products and Legacy differ.
On Intraday Trail, touching the line on a pullback after open profit
Official rule:The Intraday Trail line sits a fixed amount below the highest balance including open profit, and it rises during the day. It never moves down and does not reset daily. The moment you touch it, all positions are closed and you fail.
How to avoid it:Remember that your room to the line is smallest right after your profit grows. Decide in advance how far a pullback from the open-profit high you will allow, together with your stop placement.
Source: Official site
On EOD Trail, touching the line with an open loss during trading
Official rule:The EOD Trail line is calculated on the close, but it applies in real time during the next session. Touching the line with an open loss still fails you.
How to avoid it:Do not assume a position will recover if you hold it to the close. Place your stop order inside the line.
Source: Official site
Holding positions after 4:59 PM ET
Official rule:You must close all positions by 4:59 PM ET, and doing so is the trader's responsibility. Holding through the close is prohibited conduct and leads to forfeiture of the account and balance.
How to avoid it:Convert the deadline to your local time and set your own exit time with room to spare. Note that the local time can shift by 1 hour when US daylight saving time starts or ends. Sources for this section (2)
Missing the early close-out times for livestock and grains
Official rule:HE, LE and GF must be closed by 2:05 PM ET, and ZC, ZW, ZS, ZM and ZL by 2:20 PM ET. These are not the same times as equity indexes.
How to avoid it:Convert the close-out times for the products you trade to your local time and note them down.
Source: Official site
Letting the 30-calendar-day deadline pass
Official rule:The current evaluation lasts 30 calendar days from purchase and expires at 6:00 PM ET on Day 30. There are no extensions or resets.
How to avoid it:Count the expiry date and time in your local time from the day you buy, and buy when you have enough days available to trade.
Source: Official site
Not activating the PA within 7 calendar days of passing
Official rule:If you do not activate the PA within 7 calendar days after "Passed" appears, you lose the right to it. A passed evaluation account is locked so that no further trading is possible.
How to avoid it:Complete activation on the day you pass. On Standard, have the activation fee ready as well.
Source: Official site
Holding opposite positions in related products or other accounts (hedging)
Official rule:Hedging is prohibited in any form. This includes opposite positions in the same or correlated products (mini and micro, ES and YM, NQ and ES and so on), across your own accounts, and with members of your household or related parties. Violations close the PA.
How to avoid it:If you hold several accounts, trade only in the same direction in all of them, or send the same orders with the copier between your own PAs. Source: Official site: Prohibited conduct / Official site: HedgingSources for this section (2)
Using automated trading or algorithms
Official rule:Automated trading and algorithms are prohibited, and HFT is also prohibited as abuse of the sim environment.
How to avoid it:Place your orders by hand. Do not carry over automated trading setups you used at other firms.
Placing orders on both sides before economic data to bet on the outcome
Official rule:You can trade releases with your normal strategy, but chasing the market or using "news trading strategies" that place orders on both sides to bet on the outcome is prohibited.
How to avoid it:Around releases, enter only when you can trade with your usual reasoning and size. Do not use stop orders placed on both sides.
Trading without stops, or with small profit targets and large stop losses
Official rule:Trading without stops, small profit targets with oversized stop losses (for example, a 5-tick target with a 150-tick stop), and using the drawdown line as your stop are prohibited conduct. Violations can lead to Trader Probation, account closure, forfeiture of the balance and a ban.
How to avoid it:Place a stop with every order and check that your target and stop distances are balanced. End trades with your own stop instead of relying on the line.
Using a VPN or cloud server, or sharing an account
Official rule:Disguising your identity or location with a VPN, proxy or cloud server, sharing accounts, and holding multiple user accounts are prohibited. Buying discounted evaluations in bulk and using them as throwaways is also listed as prohibited.
How to avoid it:Trade from your own device on a normal connection, such as your home internet. Do not create separate accounts under a family member's name. Sources for this section (2)
Not trading enough in a PA within 30 days
Official rule:A current PA needs at least 2 trading days with net profit of $50 or more in the last 30 calendar days. You get notices on day 15 and day 20, and the PA is closed at 30 days. Closed accounts cannot be restored, and you also lose payout eligibility.
How to avoid it:Even if you take a break, plan 2 days of $50 or more within every 30 days.
Source: Official site
Exceeding 20 PAs per household
Official rule:You can hold up to 20 PAs per household in total across Legacy, EOD and Intraday. Exceeding this may lead to forfeiture of all funds, closure of all PAs and a permanent ban.
How to avoid it:Before activating, count the PAs held by you and your household, including Legacy.
Source: Official site
Confusing Legacy rules with current product rules
Official rule:Legacy follows different rules, including a 7-day minimum in the evaluation, 30% consistency in the PA, MAE (a cap on open losses), a 5:1 risk-reward rule and half of the maximum position size until the trailing stops. Current products have dropped the 5:1 rule and MAE.
How to avoid it:Check in the dashboard whether your account is a current product or Legacy, and check the rules in the help article for that product. Do not apply Legacy numbers to current products. Source: Official site / Official site 2 / Official site 3Sources for this section (3)

FAQ
Apex Trader Funding FAQ
What is Apex Trader Funding?
Apex Trader Funding is a futures-only prop firm headquartered in Austin, Texas, USA. Its CEO is founder Darrell Martin. It pays traders who pass the evaluation 100% of profits based on their results in the funded sim account (PA). Official sources conflict on the founding year: the About page says 2021, while the history article in the help center says "since 2008".
What are Apex Trader Funding reviews like?
This page gives you facts you can confirm from official sources rather than review scores or star ratings. Apex Trader Funding displays claims such as "NO Payout Denials" on its home page, while its terms state that prohibited conduct, such as trading without stops or holding past the close, leads to forfeiture of the account and balance. The evaluation expires after 30 calendar days, and there are no refunds of any kind. According to official information checked on 2026-11-04, current products are one-time payment products launched on 2026-03-01, with rules different from Legacy.
Which countries can use Apex Trader Funding?
As of 2026-11-04, Apex Trader Funding publishes a list of 87 countries and regions where it does not offer new accounts. The list can change, and not being listed is not a guarantee of access. Eligibility is based on your government-issued ID, main residence, mailing address and bank account country. Check the official restricted countries page to confirm your country is not listed before you apply.
What languages does Apex Trader Funding support?
Under review. Apex Trader Funding support is a ticket-based help desk, and no support in languages other than English, phone line or chat is listed. The restricted countries article lists language and education support barriers as one of the reasons for restrictions.
How much does Apex Trader Funding cost?
The 50K evaluation costs a one-time $249 on Intraday Trail Standard, plus a $99 PA activation fee after you pass. EOD Trail Standard costs $590, with a $129 activation fee. No Activation Fee, with a $0 activation fee, costs $799 for Intraday and $1,190 for EOD on 50K. All are list prices as of 2026-11-04.
Is the Apex Trader Funding evaluation monthly or one-time?
The current Intraday Trail and EOD Trail are one-time payments. You can use them for 30 calendar days from purchase, and they expire at 6:00 PM ET on Day 30. Legacy (former products) is the monthly subscription, and it bills every month until you cancel. According to official information checked on 2026-11-04, current products are not subscriptions.
What is the difference between Apex Trader Funding Intraday Trail and EOD Trail?
The basis for calculating the maximum drawdown line is different. Intraday Trail follows the highest balance including open profit, even during the day, and has no daily loss limit. EOD Trail recalculates every day on the 4:59:59 PM ET close, and hitting the 50K daily loss limit of $1,000 only stops trading for the day. Evaluation fees and PA activation fees are also higher on EOD Trail.
Which is cheaper at Apex Trader Funding, Standard or No Activation Fee?
At list price, Standard is cheaper for every size and product. On 50K Intraday Trail, passing on the first attempt costs $348 on Standard and $799 on No Activation Fee. Because there are no resets, each failure adds another evaluation fee, and the gap grows. Prices can change, so check the amount on the checkout page.
What are the Apex Trader Funding evaluation rules?
On a 50K account, you pass when you reach the $3,000 profit target without touching the $2,000 maximum drawdown. 100K has a $6,000 target and a $3,000 maximum drawdown, and 150K has $9,000 and $4,000. The maximum position on 50K is 6 minis or 60 micros, and you must close all positions by 4:59 PM ET.
How fast can you pass the Apex Trader Funding evaluation?
The current evaluation has no minimum trading days, so you can pass in 1 day. Passing is judged on the closing balance at 4:59:59 PM ET, and "Passed" appears after 6:00 PM ET. The 7-day minimum you may see mentioned is a Legacy evaluation rule.
What percentage is the Apex Trader Funding consistency rule?
Current products have no consistency rule during the evaluation. Only for PA payouts is it a requirement that your best profit day be under 50% of net profit. If you do not meet it, the request button simply does not appear; you do not fail, and it resets once a payout is approved. The 30% consistency rule applies to Legacy PAs.
What is the Apex Trader Funding pass rate?
Under review. No pass rate figure can be found on the official Apex Trader Funding site or help center. This page does not show estimated figures.
How do the new Apex Trader Funding products differ from Legacy?
Intraday Trail and EOD Trail, launched on 2026-03-01, are one-time payments with a 30-calendar-day period, no resets, no minimum trading days, 50% consistency in the PA, a 100% split and up to 6 payouts. Legacy is a monthly subscription with resets, a 7-day minimum in the evaluation, and rules such as 30% consistency in the PA, MAE and a 5:1 risk-reward rule, with 100% of the first $25,000 and 90% after that. You can hold both, but you cannot convert Legacy into the new products.
Can you still buy Apex Trader Funding Legacy accounts?
As of 2026-11-04, the official site is reselling them for a "limited time". There are 6 sizes (25K to 300K) and 3 connections, and the 50K monthly fee is $197 on Rithmic and WealthCharts and $247 on Tradovate. The official site does not say how long the resale will last.
When and under what conditions can you get an Apex Trader Funding payout?
In the PA, you can request a payout once you meet 3 requirements: a number of qualifying days, 50% consistency and a minimum balance. On 50K, the minimum profit per qualifying day is $200 for Intraday and $250 for EOD, and you need a balance of $52,600 or more to request. The number of qualifying days required is under review because the payout article says 5 days (not necessarily in a row) while the payout method article says "5 of 8 trading days at $50 or more".
What is the Apex Trader Funding payout cap, and how many payouts can you take?
On a 50K PA, the 1st payout is capped at $1,500 and the 6th at $3,000 (both Intraday and EOD). The total of the 6 payout caps is $14,500 on Intraday and $13,000 on EOD. The minimum payout is $500, and the PA is closed after the 6th payout.
How do traders outside the US receive Apex Trader Funding payouts?
Traders outside the US receive payouts through Plane. An invitation email arrives after your first payout is approved, and you register a bank account in your own name in your country of residence plus a government ID number or passport number. The receiving fee is not stated officially and is under review.
How long do Apex Trader Funding payouts take?
The Apex Trader Funding review takes up to 2 business days, the transfer after approval 3 to 4 business days, and bank processing 3 to 7 business days, for a total of about 5 to 11 business days. In the invitation-only live account, payouts go to payment processing within 48 hours of the request.
What is the Apex Trader Funding profit split?
The PA for current products pays 100%, with no split in the sim stage. The invitation-only Live pays 90%. Legacy PAs pay 100% of the first $25,000 per account and 90% after that.
What happens if you hit the Apex Trader Funding maximum drawdown?
You fail the evaluation, and all positions are closed. The current evaluation has no resets, so to continue you buy a new one. If it happens in a PA, the account is closed. Only Legacy evaluations can be reset, with no limit on the number of resets, but the fee amount is under review.
Can you get a refund or cancel an Apex Trader Funding evaluation?
There are no refunds of any kind. First purchases, PA activation fees, data fees, choosing the wrong plan or connection, outages and forgetting to apply a discount are all excluded. The current evaluation is a one-time payment, so there is nothing to cancel. Legacy monthly billing continues until you cancel, regardless of whether you pass, and there is a 72-hour grace period if a renewal fails.
Which trading platforms can you use at Apex Trader Funding?
There are 3 account connections, Rithmic, Tradovate and WealthCharts, which you choose at purchase and cannot change later. For the front end, you can connect NinjaTrader (a free license is mentioned), TradingView through Tradovate, RTrader Pro, ATAS, Quantower, Sierra Chart and others. Rithmic does not support Mac.
Can you hold positions overnight or over the weekend at Apex Trader Funding?
No. You must close all positions by 4:59 PM ET, and holding through the close is prohibited conduct that can lead to forfeiture of the account and balance. The trading day starts at 6:00 PM ET.
Is automated trading allowed at Apex Trader Funding?
No. The official list of prohibited activities says automated trading and algorithms are not allowed, and HFT and non-directional trading with brackets on both sides are also prohibited.
Can you hedge or copy trade at Apex Trader Funding?
Hedging is not allowed in any form. Opposite positions in the same or correlated products, across multiple accounts, and with members of your household or related parties are all prohibited. Copy trading is allowed only between PAs in your own name or your own business name, and only in the same direction. Copying with other traders is prohibited.
How many Apex Trader Funding accounts can you have?
There is no limit on the number of evaluation accounts. You can hold up to 20 PAs per household in total across Legacy, EOD and Intraday. Exceeding this may lead to forfeiture of all funds, closure of all PAs and a permanent ban. User accounts are limited to 1 personal and 1 business.
When is Apex Trader Funding identity verification required, and what do you need?
It happens at sign-up. Accepted documents are a driver license, a residence permit (excluding temporary stays and student visas), a passport, a state ID and a physical government-issued ID card. Copies, temporary IDs, expired IDs, visas alone, student or employer IDs, digital versions and photos shown on a screen are not accepted.
Which cards can you use to pay Apex Trader Funding?
Visa, Mastercard and Discover (credit and debit) in your own name. American Express, gift cards and crypto are not accepted. Using a payment method issued in a restricted country is grounds for immediate termination.
What happens if you do not trade in an Apex Trader Funding PA?
A current PA needs at least 2 trading days with net profit of $50 or more in the last 30 calendar days. You get notices on day 15 and day 20, and the PA is closed at 30 days. Closed accounts cannot be restored, and you also lose payout eligibility. The same rule applies to Legacy accounts bought on or after 2026-03-01.
What is the Apex Trader Funding Live account?
It is the invitation-only live account. Selection is based on trading style, profit and loss, number of accounts, payout history and other factors. The starting balance is $0, the EOD drawdown is $3,000, and the profit split is 90%. You can request payouts daily, with a $500 minimum and no cap. If you are selected, you cannot use Live and sim at the same time, and your PAs become inactive.
Can an Apex Trader Funding payout be denied?
The officially stated reasons for denial are not meeting the requirements, your balance falling below the minimum balance after the request (denied automatically, the account remains), and prohibited conduct. Prohibited conduct includes trading without stops, small profit targets with oversized stop losses, using the line as your stop, hedging and sharing accounts, and violations can lead to account closure or forfeiture.
What should you do after passing the Apex Trader Funding evaluation?
Activate the PA within 7 calendar days after "Passed" appears. If you miss that window, you lose the right to it. On Standard, you pay the activation fee, and creating the PA takes up to 6 hours. The passed evaluation account is locked, and no further trading is possible.
What is the Apex Trader Funding 5-Pack?
It is a bundle of 5 evaluations of the same size and product. All 5 share the same 30-day period, and PA activation fees cannot be bought in bulk. The EOD Trail 100K and 150K No Activation Fee are not included.
Do you pay taxes on Apex Trader Funding profits?
Under review. The official Apex Trader Funding sources do not describe tax treatment in individual countries, and they state that the company does not issue tax forms to traders outside the US. Ask a tax professional in your country how to report your income.
Which countries can use Apex Trader Funding?
Of these, Nigeria is on Apex Trader Funding's official restricted list (checked 2026-11-04). Canada: Not restricted, but Tradovate Live accounts cannot be purchased. Based on the country of your ID, residence, mailing address and bank. 87 countries and regions are restricted.
