How Lucid Trading works: the Pro, Flex, Daily and Direct plans
Lucid Trading is a futures prop firm. It sells 4 plans to the public, and they differ in whether there is an evaluation, at which stage the consistency rule applies, and how often you can request payouts. Note that the terms of use are written for US persons, and use from outside the US is under review. Check the eligible regions in the terms on the official site before you sign up.
- 1. LucidPro (evaluation, as little as 1 trading day)
This is the main Lucid Trading plan. A 50K account is a one-time fee (price under review), and you pass when you reach the $3,000 profit target without touching the $2,000 maximum drawdown. There is no consistency rule during the evaluation, so you can pass in as little as 1 trading day. In the Funded account after you pass, 40% consistency and a minimum profit of $500 per payout cycle are requirements.
- 2. LucidFlex (consistency in the evaluation, lighter rules after)
40% consistency applies during the evaluation, so the fastest pass is 3 days, or 2 days with the 50% add-on. In exchange, the Funded account after you pass has no consistency rule and no buffer, and you can request a payout every 5 profit days of $150 or more (50K). The price is under review.
- 3. LucidDaily (daily payouts after you pass)
The evaluation has 50% consistency (40% is also available), and in the Funded account after you pass you can request payouts every day. Unlike the other plans, the Funded account maximum drawdown always moves in real time (Intraday). Trading within 1 minute before or after major US dollar economic releases is prohibited, and a violation fails the account. The price is under review.
- 4. LucidDirect (no evaluation)
This plan skips the evaluation and lets you trade in a Funded account from purchase. The price is under review. Payouts require a profit target per payout (on 50K, $3,000 for the 1st and $2,500 from the 2nd) and 20% consistency.
On every plan, passing the evaluation (or buying Direct) moves you to a Funded account. Trading there is simulated, but you can withdraw the profits you make, and the trader share is 90%. As you build a payout record, the Lucid Trading risk team may move you to a live account (LucidLive). There is also the invitation-only LucidMaxx and the legacy LucidBlack. A futures prop firm evaluates traders on futures listed on exchanges such as CME (ES, NQ, crude oil, gold and more), not on CFDs, and Lucid Trading is one of them.

With pricing covered, next look at the Lucid Trading passing rules for each plan.
Lucid Trading Plans Compared: LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily and LucidDirectRules
Lucid Trading rules: $3,000 profit target and $2,000 max drawdown on 50K
The numbers you must respect in a Lucid Trading evaluation are set per plan and account size. On a 50K account, on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDaily alike, you pass when you reach the $3,000 profit target without touching the $2,000 maximum drawdown (MLL). The difference is the consistency rule during the evaluation: Pro has none and a 1-trading-day minimum, Flex has 40% and a 3-day minimum, and Daily has 50% (40% is also available). LucidDirect has no evaluation. On every plan, the daily loss limit only stops trading for that day when you hit it (a soft breach), and the account stays open as long as you do not reach the maximum drawdown.
| Rule (50K) | LucidPro | LucidFlex | LucidDaily | LucidDirect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Evaluation | Yes | Yes | Yes | No (Funded from purchase) |
| Profit target | $3,000 | $3,000 | $3,000 | Per payout: $3,000 for the 1st, $2,500 from the 2nd |
| Max drawdown (MLL) | $2,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 |
| Evaluation drawdown type | End of day (EOD) | End of day (EOD) | EOD or Intraday, chosen at purchase | No evaluation |

| During economic releases | Allowed | Allowed | Prohibited (violation fails the account) | Allowed |
- Trading hours: the trading day opens at 6:00 PM EST, and all positions must be closed by 4:45 PM EST Monday to Friday. Remaining positions are closed automatically, which is not itself a failure. Holding overnight or over the weekend is not allowed. Lucid Trading writes EST, and it does not state whether the same clock time (UTC-5) applies during US daylight saving time or whether it means ET, so this is under review.
- Consistency: your best day's profit divided by your total profit must be at or below the limit. The LucidFlex 50% add-on has a small cushion: on 50K, up to $1,560 is accepted rather than exactly $1,500.
Show 5 more notes
- You choose whether to have a daily loss limit at purchase (on LucidPro you cannot change it later). On LucidDaily you also choose the evaluation drawdown type and the consistency percentage at purchase.
- LucidDaily news rule: in the Funded account you must have no position from 1 minute before to 1 minute after major US dollar economic releases, and a violation fails the account immediately (a hard breach). Pro, Flex and Direct allow trading during releases.
- Contracts: a 50K account allows up to 4 minis or 40 micros. LucidFlex Funded accounts start at 2 / 20 (50K) while profit is between $0 and $999, and the limit rises with your profit. LucidPro Funded accounts have no tiered contract limit (scaling) and can use the full limit from day 1.
- Tradable products: ES, NQ, RTY, NKD, YM and their micros, currency futures (6A, 6B, 6C, 6E, 6J, 6S, 6N), CL, QM, NG, MCL, QG, metals (PL, HG, GC, SI, MGC, SIL), and agricultural and livestock futures (HE, LE, ZS, ZC, ZL, ZM, ZW).
- Instant buy-and-sell trades (flipping) to meet minimum trading days are allowed, but flipping to collect bonus trading days in a live account is subject to review.

The rule that needs the most care at Lucid Trading is how the maximum drawdown moves.
Lucid Trading Rules by Plan: Drawdown, Consistency Rule and Prohibited ActivitiesDrawdown
Lucid Trading drawdown: trails end-of-day balance, then locks at a set level
The Lucid Trading maximum drawdown (MLL) is end of day (EOD) on LucidPro and LucidFlex, in both the evaluation and the Funded account. At the end of each session the line moves up to match your highest end-of-day balance, and it never moves down. Once your balance passes a set level (the Initial Trail Balance), the line locks at the starting balance + $100. Only the LucidDaily Funded account always moves in real time (Intraday). Here is how it moves on a 50K LucidPro account.
- Balance
- Loss floor (end of day)
- Locks at $50,100
Lucid Trading max drawdown by account size
| Item | 25K | 50K | 100K | 150K |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro, Flex and Daily max drawdown | $1,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 | $4,500 |
| LucidDirect max drawdown | $1,000 | $2,000 | $3,500 | $5,000 |
| Balance that triggers the lock (Pro, Flex, Daily) | $26,100 | $52,100 | $103,100 | $154,600 |
| Balance that triggers the lock (Direct) | $26,100 | $52,100 | $103,600 | $155,100 |
| Line after it locks | $25,100 | $50,100 | $100,100 | $150,100 |
| LucidPro daily loss limit (if ON) | Differs between official articles ($600 or none) | $1,200 | $1,800 | $2,700 |
| LucidDirect daily loss limit | None | $1,200 | $2,100 | $3,000 |
- A 50K account starts with a $50,000 balance, and the maximum drawdown line starts at $48,000. If your balance reaches this line, the account fails (a breach).
- If you finish the day 1 session with a balance of $50,600, the line rises by $600 to $48,600. The balance at the end of the session sets the line.
Show 5 more notes
- The line does not drop on losing days. If day 2 ends at $49,900, the line stays at $48,600 and your remaining room shrinks to $1,300.
- Once your end-of-day balance passes $52,100 (the Initial Trail Balance), the line locks at $50,100 and stops rising. After it locks, your room widens as your profit grows.
- On LucidFlex, the line moves automatically to the lock level when you request a payout.
- The LucidDaily Funded account is Intraday, so the line changes with your balance during trading. Even if you chose EOD for the evaluation, note that it becomes Intraday after you pass.
- The daily loss limit is a separate rule from the maximum drawdown, and on every plan hitting it only stops trading for that day. On LucidPro and LucidDirect, once your balance passes the lock level, it switches from a fixed limit to 60% of your highest end-of-day profit (LucidScale, which does not decrease).

Payouts
Lucid Trading payout rules: keep 90% of profits, sent within 2 business days of approval
At Lucid Trading you request payouts from a Funded account. The profit split is 90% to the trader on every plan and the minimum payout is $500, but when you can request and the cap per payout vary widely by plan. LucidPro requires a minimum cycle profit and 40% consistency, LucidFlex 5 profit days, LucidDaily allows requests every day, and LucidDirect requires a profit target per payout and 20% consistency. On LucidPro the amount is deducted from your account within minutes of approval and sent within 2 business days.

- LucidPro profit split: accounts bought or reset before 2025-11-28 3:00 PM EST get 100% of the first $10,000. Consistency is also 35% for those earlier accounts and 40% for later ones. Accounts bought now are 90% and 40%.
Show 8 more notes
- If you turn the LucidPro daily loss limit ON, you can request a payout from that day's profit during the session (6:00 PM to 3:45 PM ET) (On Demand Payouts). Requesting stops trading until the end of that trading day.
- The LucidFlex cap per payout is up to 50% of profit, and also no more than 25K $1,000, 50K $2,000, 100K $2,500, 150K $3,000. The cap does not grow with more payouts. A profit day is a day of 25K $100, 50K $150, 100K $200 or 150K $250.
- LucidDaily maximum daily profit is 25K $6,000, 50K $8,000, 100K $10,000, 150K $12,000. The LucidDaily payout article says reaching it "moves you to a live account automatically", while the new live structure article says "every move is at the risk team's discretion", so official articles disagree.
- The LucidDirect cap per payout is 25K $1,000, 50K $2,000, 100K $2,500, 150K $3,000 for the 1st to 3rd, and $1,000, $2,500, $3,000, $3,500 for the 4th and 5th. On 50K and up you can request during the session; 25K uses the usual end-of-day processing. The minimum number of days before a payout is under review.
- Payout requests cannot be cancelled or changed.
- Payout fees, and fees for receiving through WorkMarket and crypto, are not stated in the official articles and are under review.
- Live account (LucidLive): 1 live account for each Funded account with at least 1 payout. It starts at a $0 balance and allows daily payouts. Whether you move is decided by the Lucid Trading risk team; the 5th payout is a ceiling, not a guarantee of a move. When you move, all your other sim accounts are closed.
- Accounts bought or reset on or before 2026-02-27 follow the old live account structure (move after the 6th payout).

If nothing here worries you, getting started with Lucid Trading takes 5 steps.
Lucid Trading Payout Rules by Plan: Conditions, Caps and Payout MethodsHow to start
How to start with Lucid Trading: 5 steps from checking the terms to your first payout request
Almost every Lucid Trading step happens on the official site and in your dashboard. Three points often cause confusion: the eligible regions in the terms of use, the daily loss limit choice at purchase (cannot be changed later on LucidPro), and the rule that each person has only 1 profile, which cannot be recreated. The individual identity verification process could not be confirmed in official articles and is under review.
1. Check the terms of use and eligible regions
The terms of use are written for US persons, and use from outside the US is under review. Check the eligible regions in the terms on the official site before you sign up, and check the restricted countries page as well.
Official homepage (chat button hidden) (Source: Lucid Trading official site, English page, captured 2026-11-05) 2. Create a profile
Each person may have only 1 profile, registered either as an individual or as a business. You cannot change or recreate it later. Eligibility requirements such as age are under review.
3. Choose a plan, size and daily loss limit, then pay
Choose LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily or LucidDirect and a size from 25K to 150K. You decide at purchase whether to have a daily loss limit (on LucidPro you cannot change it later). Prices are under review. You pay with a card in your own name (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Maestro).
4. Connect a trading platform and take the evaluation
You take the evaluation on a platform such as NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView or Quantower. On a 50K LucidPro account, you pass when you reach the $3,000 profit target without touching the $2,000 maximum drawdown, and you move to a Funded account. There is no activation fee. LucidDirect skips this step.
1LucidPro is a one-time payment with no activation fee (official)One-time fee, no activation fee (Source: Official help: Article, English page, captured 2026-11-05) 5. Request a payout once you qualify
Once you meet the requirements in the Funded account, request a payout from the dashboard. Outside the US you receive through WorkMarket by ADP (bank transfer or PayPal) or crypto. The documents and timing for individual identity verification are under review.

Can you use Lucid Trading outside the US? Restricted countries and the terms of use
Use of Lucid Trading from outside the US is under review: the terms of use are written for US persons. Check the eligible regions in the terms on the official site before you sign up. Not appearing on that list does not guarantee eligibility, so read the terms of use (https://lucidtrading.com/terms-of-use/) and the restricted countries page before you sign up, and ask support if needed.

Pass in as little as 1 trading day and move to a Funded account with no activation fee
Lucid Trading LucidPro has no consistency rule during the evaluation, so on 50K you can pass on the day you reach the $3,000 profit target. There is no activation fee for the Funded account after you pass. On every plan the daily loss limit only stops that day, and the account stays open.

Common breaches
Why Lucid Trading accounts fail or payouts stop: 14 pitfalls from the official rules
The reasons you can lose a Lucid Trading account or have a payout stopped are written in the official rules. Below are the ones the rule text suggests are easy to run into, each split into the official rule and how to avoid it. Some cause a failure, while others only stop trading for the day or trigger a review, so check the difference as well.
Hitting the maximum drawdown with reduced room the day after a win
Official rule:On LucidPro and LucidFlex, the maximum drawdown rises with your highest end-of-session balance and never drops. Reaching it fails the account. Until your balance passes the lock level ($52,100 on 50K), growing your profit does not widen your room beyond $2,000.
How to avoid it:Before every trade, check how many dollars are left to the current line. Remember the line is closest on the day after a win, and set your stop loss accordingly. Sources for this section (2)
Assuming the LucidDaily drawdown stays end of day after you pass
Official rule:In the LucidDaily evaluation you can choose EOD or Intraday drawdown, but the Funded account is always Intraday. The line changes with your balance during trading.
How to avoid it:Even if you chose EOD for the LucidDaily evaluation, review your trade size on the assumption that the line behaves differently from the day you pass.
Source: Official help: Article
Holding through an economic release on LucidDaily
Official rule:In the LucidDaily Funded account you must have no position from 1 minute before to 1 minute after major US dollar economic releases. A violation fails the account immediately (a hard breach).
How to avoid it:Before you start trading, check the times of that day's major US dollar releases, and always be flat from 1 minute before to 1 minute after. Sources for this section (2)
Holding a position past 4:45 PM EST
Official rule:On Pro, Flex and Direct, all positions must be closed by 4:45 PM EST Monday to Friday, and remaining positions are closed automatically. This is not a failure, but you may be closed out at a price you did not intend. On shortened trading days, close before the market closes.
How to avoid it:Convert the deadline to your local time and set your own exit time ahead of it. Lucid Trading writes EST, and how this applies during US daylight saving time is under review, so close early.
Source: Official help: Article
Making half or more of your profit on trades of 5 seconds or less
Official rule:If more than 50% of your profit comes from trades held 5 seconds or less, you are flagged for microscalping. It is reviewed manually, and continuing after a warning leads to forfeited profits and a permanent ban.
How to avoid it:Log the holding time of each trade and check what share of your profit comes from trades closed in 5 seconds or less.
Being judged as high-frequency trading (HFT)
Official rule:HFT is prohibited. The first time brings a written warning; repeating it leads to forfeiture of HFT profits, account closure and a permanent ban.
How to avoid it:If you use automated trading, check your order frequency and configure it so it does not behave in a way that could be seen as HFT.
Taking opposite positions in another account or a correlated product (hedging)
Official rule:All hedging is prohibited: between your own accounts, with other people and with other firms. Opposite positions in correlated products, such as buying ES and selling NQ, are also violations when in separate accounts. A violation resets you to the previous day's balance (drawdown room is not restored), and repeating it fails all accounts and leads to a permanent ban. Opposite mini and micro positions within the same account are allowed.
How to avoid it:If you hold several accounts, keeping all of them in the same direction makes this easy to judge. Check your trade copier settings too.
Not trading on an account for 30 calendar days
Official rule:An account with no trade of $1 or more net profit or loss within 30 calendar days is treated as abandoned and permanently deleted. Failed accounts are also deleted automatically if not reset within 30 days.
How to avoid it:If you hold several accounts, plan to trade on each one at least once a month.

Going over 40% consistency on a LucidPro payout
Official rule:In a LucidPro Funded account, your largest profit day in the payout cycle must be 40% or less of your total profit. While it is over, you cannot request a payout.
How to avoid it:Track your best day's profit and keep trading days until it falls to 40% or less of your total profit before you request.
Source: Official help: Consistency
Assuming you can withdraw the buffer
Official rule:LucidPro and LucidDaily Funded accounts have a buffer you cannot withdraw ($52,100 on 50K). You can withdraw only the balance above the buffer.
How to avoid it:Before a payout, check which is smaller: your current balance minus the buffer, or the cap per payout. Sources for this section (2)
Choosing the wrong daily loss limit setting
Official rule:You choose whether to have a daily loss limit at purchase. On LucidPro you cannot change it later, and choosing ON lets you use same-day payouts during the session (On Demand Payouts).
How to avoid it:Decide before you buy whether you want the protection of a daily stop or the option of same-day payouts. Sources for this section (2)
Going over the day's contract limit in a LucidFlex Funded account
Official rule:In LucidFlex Funded accounts, the contract limit rises with your profit (2 / 20 on 50K while profit is $0 to $999). Deliberately going over it to get around the limit can lead to that day's profit being removed.
How to avoid it:Before you start trading, check how many contracts your current profit tier allows that day.
Source: Official help: Scaling
Assuming you can keep your sim accounts after moving to a live account
Official rule:When you move to LucidLive, all your other sim accounts are closed. While 1 person in a household has a live account, other family members cannot trade sim accounts. After losing a live account, there is a 2-week waiting period before you can buy a new evaluation.
How to avoid it:Before the live account review, request any profits you can withdraw from your other sim accounts. If family members also trade, check the household rules first.
Source: Official help: Article
Reversing a card payment (chargeback)
Official rule:A fraudulent or unjustified chargeback leads to a permanent ban from all services, and legal action may be taken to recover the amount.
How to avoid it:If you question a charge, contact Lucid Trading support before you file a dispute with your card issuer.

FAQ
Lucid Trading FAQ
What is Lucid Trading?
Lucid Trading is a futures prop firm. When you pass a one-time-fee evaluation, you move to a Funded account and receive 90% of profits. The operating company name, address and governing law are under review, and the year founded and management are not stated officially and are also under review.
Is Lucid Trading legit? What do Lucid Trading reviews say?
This page gives you facts you can verify on official sources rather than review scores or stars. On the other hand, some points do not suit everyone: use from outside the US is under review, you cannot hold past the session, and prices for all 4 plans are under review. The cautions are covered in the fit and pitfalls sections.
Can I use Lucid Trading outside the US?
Use from outside the US is under review: the terms of use are written for US persons. Check the eligible regions in the terms on the official site before you sign up. A list of 82 restricted countries and regions is published (as of 2026-11-04), but not appearing on it does not guarantee eligibility.
How do I contact Lucid Trading support, and in which languages?
Support languages are under review. Lucid Trading does not list support in languages other than English. You can contact it through live chat with human agents (24 hours on weekdays, usually answered in 2 to 4 hours). An email contact and communities are under review.
How much does Lucid Trading cost?
LucidPro is a one-time fee, and the price is under review (check the official site). The price of LucidDirect, with no evaluation, is also under review. LucidFlex and LucidDaily prices are under review as well.
Does Lucid Trading charge a monthly fee or an activation fee?
No. Lucid Trading pricing is a one-time fee, with no monthly billing and no auto-renewal. There is no activation fee for the Funded account after you pass. Resets cost a fee, and commissions (ES $1.75 per side) are charged separately.
What is the difference between LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily and LucidDirect?
LucidPro has no evaluation consistency, so you can pass in as little as 1 trading day, and after passing you need 40% consistency for payouts. LucidFlex has 40% consistency during the evaluation, but no consistency after you pass, with payouts every 5 profit days. LucidDaily allows daily payouts after you pass, its Funded account drawdown is always Intraday, and trading within 1 minute of major releases is prohibited. LucidDirect has no evaluation, and you trade in a Funded account from purchase.
Should I choose LucidPro or LucidFlex?
Compare the stage where the consistency rule applies. If you want to pass right away after one big winning day, LucidPro, with no evaluation consistency, fits. If you want lighter payout requirements after you pass, LucidFlex, with no consistency and no buffer after you pass, fits. Note, however, that the LucidFlex price is under review and its cap per payout is up to 50% of profit.
What is LucidDaily?
It is a plan that lets you request payouts every day in the Funded account after you pass. The evaluation has 50% consistency (40% is also available), and you can choose EOD or Intraday drawdown, but the Funded account is always Intraday. You can request everything above the buffer ($52,100 on 50K). The move to a live account when daily profit reaches $8,000 (50K) is described as automatic in the LucidDaily payout article and as at the risk team's discretion in the new live structure article, so official articles disagree. Trading within 1 minute before or after major US dollar releases is prohibited.
What is LucidDirect?
It is a plan that skips the evaluation and starts you in a Funded account from purchase. The 50K price is under review, and it has a $2,000 maximum drawdown and a $1,200 daily loss limit. You can request a payout when you reach $3,000 profit for the 1st and $2,500 from the 2nd, and meet 20% consistency. The reset fee is not published and is under review.
How much do LucidFlex and LucidDaily cost?
Under review. This page does not list amounts that cannot be verified on official sources. Check the amount on the purchase screen before you sign up.
How much is the Lucid Trading reset fee?
The LucidPro reset fee is under review (check the official site). Resets are bought for a fee from the dashboard, and there are no free or automatic resets. Reset fees for LucidDirect, LucidFlex and LucidDaily are not published and are under review.
Can I get a refund or cancel at Lucid Trading?
Because it is a one-time fee, there is no subscription to cancel as there would be with a monthly fee. Traded accounts are not refunded, regardless of the number of trades, results or technical issues. Untraded accounts are considered at Lucid Trading's discretion, and accounts with rule violations or failures are excluded. A fraudulent chargeback leads to a permanent ban.
How many accounts can I hold at Lucid Trading?
Up to 10 evaluations per household, and up to 10 evaluation and Funded accounts combined (for example, 5 evaluations and 5 Funded accounts). Funded accounts of all types are limited to 5 per household, and live accounts (LucidLive) to 5 as well. Each person may have only 1 profile.
What are LucidMaxx and LucidBlack?
Neither can be bought by the public. LucidMaxx is invitation only: the risk team emails traders who meet its criteria. After a 2-stage evaluation, you move to a live account with a static drawdown. LucidBlack is treated as a legacy product, and whether it can still be purchased is under review.
What are the Lucid Trading evaluation rules?
On a 50K account, you pass when you reach the $3,000 profit target without touching the $2,000 maximum drawdown. 100K has a $6,000 target and a $3,000 maximum drawdown, and 150K has $9,000 and $4,500. The maximum position on 50K is 4 minis or 40 micros, and all positions must be closed by 4:45 PM EST Monday to Friday.
How fast can I pass a Lucid Trading evaluation?
LucidPro has no evaluation consistency, so the minimum is 1 trading day. LucidFlex has 40% consistency, so the minimum is 3 days, or 2 days with the 50% add-on. LucidDaily takes as little as 2 days at 50% consistency. The minimum with 40% is not stated officially and is under review. LucidDirect has no evaluation.
Is the Lucid Trading drawdown EOD or intraday?
LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect are end of day (EOD). The line rises with your highest end-of-session balance, and once your balance passes a set level ($52,100 on 50K), it locks at the starting balance + $100 ($50,100 on 50K). LucidDaily lets you choose EOD or Intraday for the evaluation, but the Funded account is always Intraday.
Do I fail if I hit the Lucid Trading daily loss limit?
No. On every Lucid Trading plan, the daily loss limit only stops trading for that day when you hit it (a soft breach). The account stays open as long as you do not reach the maximum drawdown. On LucidPro, Flex and Daily you choose whether to have the limit at purchase. The LucidPro 25K limit differs between help center articles (none or $600) and is under review.
What is the Lucid Trading consistency rule?
It caps the share of your total profit that can come from your best day. The stage where it applies differs by plan: LucidPro 40% per payout cycle, LucidFlex 40% during the evaluation (50% with the add-on), LucidDaily 50% during the evaluation (40% also available), and LucidDirect 20% for payouts. On LucidPro, only accounts bought or reset before 2025-11-28 3:00 PM EST use 35%.
Can I hold positions overnight or over the weekend at Lucid Trading? What are the trading hours?
No. On Pro, Flex and Direct, all positions must be closed by 4:45 PM EST Monday to Friday, and remaining positions are closed automatically. The trading day opens at 6:00 PM EST, Sunday to Thursday. Lucid Trading writes EST (UTC-5), and it does not state whether the same clock time applies during US daylight saving time, so this is under review.
Can I trade news events at Lucid Trading?
Yes on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDirect. On LucidDaily it is prohibited: in the Funded account you must have no position from 1 minute before to 1 minute after major US dollar economic releases. A violation fails the account immediately (a hard breach).
Can I scalp at Lucid Trading? What trading is prohibited?
Legitimate scalping is allowed. However, if more than 50% of your profit comes from trades held 5 seconds or less, you are reviewed for microscalping. HFT and hedging (including between accounts, with other people or firms, and opposite positions in correlated products) are also prohibited. Averaging down and scaling into entries are allowed.
Can I use automated trading or copy trading at Lucid Trading?
Yes. The Lucid Trading help center allows automated trading systems and trade copying as long as you follow the rules. Malfunctions are your responsibility. HFT and hedging are prohibited, and Lucid Trading prohibits all hedging, including between your own accounts.
What happens if I leave a Lucid Trading account inactive?
An account with no trade of $1 or more net profit or loss within 30 calendar days is treated as abandoned and permanently deleted. Failed accounts are also deleted automatically if not reset within 30 days.
When can I request a Lucid Trading payout, and what are the requirements?
On a 50K account, LucidPro lets you request any time, with no request window, once you have $500 or more profit in the cycle and meet 40% consistency. LucidFlex allows a request every 5 profit days of $150 or more, LucidDaily every day, and LucidDirect the 1st request at $3,000 profit with 20% consistency. The minimum payout is $500 on every plan. Whether LucidPro payouts require a minimum number of trading days is not stated in official articles and is under review.
What is the Lucid Trading payout cap per request?
On a 50K account, LucidPro is $2,000 for the 1st payout and $2,500 from the 2nd. LucidFlex is up to 50% of profit and $2,000, and it does not grow with more payouts. LucidDaily allows everything above the buffer, and LucidDirect is $2,000 for the 1st to 3rd and $2,500 for the 4th and 5th.
How long do Lucid Trading payouts take?
On LucidPro the amount is deducted from your account within minutes of approval and sent within 2 business days. LucidFlex, LucidDaily and LucidDirect are also within 2 business days. By payout method, WorkMarket by ADP is as soon as the next business day, and Plaid (US residents) is instant.
How do I receive Lucid Trading payouts outside the US?
Payout methods for non-US recipients are WorkMarket by ADP (bank transfer or PayPal) and crypto (BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, USDC). Plaid is for US residents. Fees are not stated in official articles and are under review. Note that the terms of use are written for US persons and use from outside the US is under review, so check the eligible regions in the terms on the official site before you sign up.
What is the Lucid Trading profit split? Is it really 100%?
Accounts bought now are 90% to the trader and 10% to Lucid Trading on every plan. The 100% figure is a legacy condition for LucidPro accounts bought or reset before 2025-11-28 3:00 PM EST, limited to the first $10,000. Bonuses in the LucidLive live account and the cash-out when you move are also split 90/10.
How do I move to a Lucid Trading live account (LucidLive)?
You become eligible for review after events such as your 5th payout on Pro, Flex or Direct, or reaching the maximum daily profit on Daily, and the risk team decides whether you move (the LucidDaily payout article says reaching the maximum daily profit moves you automatically, so official articles disagree). The 5th payout is a ceiling, not a guarantee of a move. LucidLive starts at a $0 balance and allows daily payouts. When you move, all other sim accounts are closed, and if you lose the live account you wait 2 weeks before you can buy a new evaluation.
What is the Lucid Trading pass rate?
It is not published. This page does not estimate pass rates.
When does Lucid Trading require identity verification (KYC), and what do I need?
Under review. We could not find an official article explaining the individual identity verification process and required documents. If you register as a business, you email proof of formation and ownership and a government-issued photo ID for owners of 25% or more. When you move from LucidDaily to a live account, payment follows identity verification with the broker partner.
Which platforms does Lucid Trading support? Can I use NinjaTrader?
Yes. According to the official list, every plan supports NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView on CQG, and Quantower, Tradesea, MotiveWave, Sierra Chart, Jigsaw, Bookmap, ATAS, R|Trader Pro and MultiCharts on Rithmic. Connection steps, data feed fees and license fees are under review.
What are the Lucid Trading commissions?
Per side for 1 contract in sim accounts: ES, NQ, RTY, NKD and YM are $1.75; MES, MNQ, M2K and MYM are $0.50; CL, QM and NG are $2.00; GC, SI, HG and PL are $2.30; MGC is $0.80; currency futures are $2.40; and agricultural and livestock futures are $2.80.
What are the downsides of Lucid Trading?
The official rules show 4 main cautions. Use from outside the US is under review. You cannot hold past the session, and the daily close-out deadline may fall at an inconvenient hour in your time zone. The bans on microscalping, HFT and hedging are broad. Prices for all 4 plans are under review, and traded accounts are not refunded.
How are Lucid Trading profits taxed?
Under review. Lucid Trading's primary sources do not describe tax treatment. Check how to report with a tax professional in your country.
Which countries can use Lucid Trading?
Of these, Philippines, Nigeria is on Lucid Trading's official restricted list (checked 2026-11-04). Citizens or residents of restricted countries cannot use it. 82 countries and regions are listed. Not being listed is not a guarantee of eligibility, so check the official list before you buy.
