My Funded Futures (MFFU) Rules
- At My Funded Futures, an account closes when it hits the Maximum Loss Limit (MLL). Evaluations use an EOD drawdown except on Studio; in Sim Funded, only Rapid switches to an intraday trailing drawdown, and Studio is static (checked 2026-11-04).
- The soft DLL on Builder only stops trading for the day. Accounts can also be terminated for prohibited trading, 7 calendar days of inactivity, or chargebacks. Evaluation consistency is 30% on Rapid EOD, 50% on Rapid and Pro, and none on Builder.
- Trading runs from 6:00 PM EST to 4:10 PM EST, with automatic liquidation at 4:10 PM EST. The official site writes EST, and how this applies during daylight saving time is under review.
How does the MFFU drawdown work on each plan? 5 rules to watch
My Funded Futures rules use different numbers on each plan, but the places to watch are the same. The official help center explains that an account closes when it hits the MLL, while the DLL only stops trading for the day.
- Drawdown type: on some plans the type changes between the evaluation and Sim Funded (Rapid)
- Consistency rule: 30% or 50% in the evaluation, and 50% at payout on Builder
- Around news releases: Rapid, Rapid EOD and Pro Sim Funded accounts cannot hold orders or positions 2 minutes before and after Tier 1 events
- Closing time: automatic liquidation at 4:10 PM EST, but no automatic liquidation on half-day holiday sessions
- 7-calendar-day inactivity: one-time accounts may be closed after 7 calendar days in a row with no trades
How drawdowns and consistency rules work in general applies to every firm, so it is covered in our guides. This article focuses on My Funded Futures numbers and exceptions.

My Funded Futures rules for every plan and size
This table lists My Funded Futures evaluation rules by plan and size. The profit target and MLL are mostly the same for a given size. The differences show up in the DLL, max contracts, consistency and minimum days.

| Pro 50K One Day | $4,000 | $2,000 | None | 3 / 30 | None | 1 day |
Studio is built differently: #003 ($5,000) has a $500 target, a $250 MLL and 5 micro; #001 ($10,000) has a $1,000 target, a $500 MLL and 10 micro (no mini); and #002 ($20,000) has a $2,000 target, a $1,000 MLL and 20 micro. There is no DLL, no consistency rule and no minimum number of days.
For Pro Sim Funded max contracts, both the official help center and the plan page list mini and micro with the same number, such as "3 mini / 3 micro". This is under review, including the possibility of a typo. The Builder Sim Funded account has the same MLL, DLL and contract limits as the evaluation, and the Rapid Sim Funded account has the same contract limits as the evaluation.

My Funded Futures drawdown types: EOD, intraday and static
My Funded Futures uses 3 drawdown types within one firm. Check first which type applies to your plan at each stage.
| Plan | Evaluation | Sim Funded |
|---|---|---|
| Builder | EOD trailing | EOD trailing |
| Rapid | EOD | Intraday trailing |
| Rapid EOD | EOD | EOD |
| Pro | EOD | EOD (locked after the first payout) |
| Studio | Static | Static |
EOD trailing drawdown (all evaluations, and Builder, Rapid EOD and Pro in Sim)
An end-of-day (EOD) trailing drawdown moves the MLL based on your balance when the trading day ends. Even if you have a large open profit during the day, the closed balance at the end of the day is what counts.
Intraday trailing drawdown (Rapid Sim Funded)
In the Rapid Sim Funded account, the MLL follows the equity peak including open profit. As an example, on Rapid 50K (MLL $2,000), say open profit briefly reaches +$1,500 and you close at +$300. With intraday trailing the MLL also rises by $1,500, so your room to the MLL drops from $2,000 to $800. With EOD, the same trade is measured at the closing +$300, and your room stays at $2,000. This example only shows the idea. Check the official Rapid plan page and the Rapid 50K article for the exact mechanics.
The Rapid evaluation is EOD, so if you let open profit run and then give it back the way you did in the evaluation, your room shrinks faster in Sim Funded. Trailing stops once you pass the buffer (MLL + $100).
Static (Studio)
The Studio MLL does not move when you make profit. On #001, the MLL sits $500 below the starting balance and stays there.
When does it lock at +$100?
In Sim Funded, once profit reaches "drawdown amount + $100", the MLL stops at +$100 from the starting balance. In the Rapid evaluation at 25K, it locks when the balance reaches $25,100, and falling below that level afterward fails the account. On Pro, the MLL locks at the starting balance + $100 ($50,100 at 50K) after the first payout.

How does the My Funded Futures consistency rule work? Plus the soft DLL
The My Funded Futures consistency rule is a percentage set for each plan, and the calculation is explained in the official consistency rule article. In the evaluation, Rapid EOD is 30%, Rapid and Pro are 50%, and Builder and Pro 50K One Day have none. Builder applies 50% at Sim Funded payouts.
Calculation example, and what happens if you exceed it
The following example assumes the rule compares your best day's profit with your total profit. On Rapid 50K (50%), if you made $2,000 in 1 day out of $3,000 total, the ratio is about 67%. To get to 50% or below you need at least $4,000 total, so even after reaching the $3,000 target you need another $1,000 on other days.
On Rapid EOD 50K (30%), if your best day is $1,200, you need at least $4,000 total. These are only examples. Check the official consistency rule article for the exact calculation. The official help center says exceeding the consistency limit does not fail the account; you just need to add trading days.
Soft DLL (Builder only)
Builder has a soft DLL of 25K $600, 50K $1,000, 100K $1,750 and 150K $2,500. Hitting it stops trading for the day, but the account is not failed. Other plans have no DLL in the evaluation or Sim Funded. Official sources differ on the Builder Live DLL. The Builder plan page lists 25K $600, 50K $1,000, 100K $1,750 and 150K $2,500, while the 25K, 100K and 150K articles say "none" (the 50K article also says $1,000).

My Funded Futures trading hours, news restrictions and the 2% price limit rule
My Funded Futures restricts trading in 3 situations: outside permitted hours, around economic releases, and near price limits. The official site gives times in EST (US Eastern Standard Time).
Trading hours and automatic liquidation
| Official time (EST) | What happens |
|---|---|
| 6:00 PM | Trading opens (Globex) |
| 4:10 PM | Automatic liquidation |
| 8:30 AM | Economic release (example) |
Overnight holding is not allowed, and on regular days positions are liquidated automatically at 4:10 PM EST. The official site writes EST and does not state whether the same clock time (ET) applies during US daylight saving time, so this is under review. On half-day holiday sessions there is no automatic liquidation, and the account fails if you do not close positions yourself.
2 minutes before and after economic releases (Tier 1)
Rapid Sim Funded, Pro Sim Funded and Rapid EOD Sim Funded accounts (as stated in the plan articles) cannot hold positions or orders 2 minutes before and after Tier 1 releases. For an 8:30 release, close by 8:28:00 and resume from 8:32:00. All evaluations and Builder can trade through Tier 1.
- Tier 1 events: FOMC, FOMC minutes, the jobs report and CPI
- For energy, EIA reports apply; for agriculture, agricultural reports apply
- Straddles and strangles aimed at the moment of release, and disguised news trading, are prohibited
2% price limit rule
Trading at prices within 2% of the CME price limit is prohibited in Sim Funded and Live. Equity index futures (ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, RTY, M2K, YM, MYM) halt at 5% overnight.

What is prohibited at My Funded Futures, and what happens if you break the rules?
The official My Funded Futures help center lists prohibited practices for fair trading in detail. They are listed here starting with the ones that are easiest to fall into without realizing.
- Hedging on the same underlying (for example holding NQ and MNQ short and long at the same time). Unrelated assets are allowed, but relying on them too much counts against you in reviews
- Orders that exceed the limit by combining different products (for example 2 mini + 20 micro). It is a violation even if filled
- HFT (high-frequency trading)
- Coordinated trading: working with others to run the same or opposite strategies in unrelated accounts
- Copy trading with other traders, sharing a device (PC or phone), or someone else trading your account
- Placing several limit orders at the same price at the same time
- Exploiting unnatural fills in illiquid contract months or hours, or tight brackets aimed at zero slippage
- Automated strategies that aim to exploit favorable simulated fills
Automated trading set up for your own strategy and copy trading between your own accounts are allowed. The conditions are covered in the platforms article.
See My Funded Futures conditions for automated trading and copy trading
What happens after a violation
If trading is judged prohibited, the result can be immediate termination, forfeiture of profit, a review of evaluations you already passed or cancellation of funded status, with no refund. Device sharing with others and similar violations can lead to a permanent ban. A chargeback freezes all related accounts without notice.
