Take Profit Trader Pricing and Fees (Monthly Test Fee, $130 Activation, Resets, Refunds, KYC)
- The Take Profit Trader Test costs $150 per month (25K) to $360 per month (150K) at list price, plus a one-time $130 activation fee when you pass and move to PRO. PRO has no monthly fee (checked 2026-11-04).
- A Test is not canceled automatically if you fail by breaking a rule. Billing stops automatically when you pass, but after a failure you are billed on the same day every month until you cancel yourself. Refunds are only within 72 hours of purchase for unused accounts, minus $75.
- You sign up in this order: register, verify your identity (KYC), then buy a Test. You cannot buy a Test until KYC is done. The firm publishes a restricted countries list (updated 2026-08-25). Before you sign up, confirm on the official site that the country you live in is not on it. Not appearing on the list does not guarantee that you can use the service.
How much does the Take Profit Trader Test cost per month?
Take Profit Trader (TPT) has 2 main costs: a monthly fee while you keep the Test evaluation account, and a $130 activation fee paid once when you pass and move to PRO (a sim funded account). PRO has no monthly fee, and PRO+ (an invitation-only live account) is not something you buy.
Other costs apply only when needed: the reset fee to restart a Test, the PRO reset fee if you lose PRO, per-trade commissions, and a fee when you withdraw $250 or less from the wallet. All amounts are official list prices.
| Cost | When it applies | Amount (list price) |
|---|---|---|
| Test monthly fee | On the same day every month while you keep the Test | $150 to $360 |
| Activation fee | Once, when you pass and move to PRO | $130 |
| Test reset | When you restart a Test (optional) | $79 to $199 |
| PRO reset | When you restore a lost PRO account (up to 3 per account) | $449 to $1,499 |
| Commissions | Per contract, round trip | $4.50 or $1.50 |
| Withdrawal fee | When you withdraw $250 or less from the wallet | $50 |
The full 3-stage setup (Test, PRO, PRO+) is explained on the firm page. This article focuses on how much you pay and how to sign up.

What does each Take Profit Trader Test size cost? (5 sizes)
The Take Profit Trader Test comes in 5 sizes from 25K to 150K. The monthly fee and reset fee change by size, and the activation fee is $130 for every size. The table below shows official list prices, along with the profit target and max drawdown.
| Size | Monthly fee | Test reset | Activation fee | Profit target | Max drawdown (EOD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $150 | $79 | $130 | $1,500 | $1,500 |
| 50K | $170 | $99 | $130 | $3,000 | $2,000 |
| 75K | $245 | $139 | $130 | $4,500 | $2,500 |
| 100K | $330 | $169 | $130 | $6,000 | $3,000 |
| 150K | $360 | $199 | $130 | $9,000 | $4,500 |
The monthly fee rises with size, but not evenly. From 75K to 100K it goes up $85 per month, while from 100K to 150K the difference is $30 per month. The profit target and max drawdown also change by size, so choose based on whether the drawdown fits your trading range, not only on the monthly fee.

How much does it cost in total to pass at Take Profit Trader?
The Take Profit Trader Test is billed monthly, so the total depends on how many months it takes you to pass. Using official list prices, "monthly fee x number of billings + $130 activation fee" works out as below. Commissions are not included.
| Size | Pass during 1st billing | Pass during 2nd billing | Pass during 3rd billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $280 | $430 | $580 |
| 50K | $300 | $470 | $640 |
| 75K | $375 | $620 | $865 |
| 100K | $460 | $790 | $1,120 |
| 150K | $490 | $850 | $1,210 |
Example with 1 reset (50K)
If you touch the drawdown in your first month on 50K, use 1 Test reset ($99), and pass within the same month, the total is $170 + $99 + $130 = $399. A reset does not change your monthly renewal date, so the monthly fee is charged again when the next renewal date arrives.
Minimum trading days and total cost
The Take Profit Trader Test has a minimum of 3 trading days. Any day with 1 or more trades counts (Rule 5 in the official help center).
The FAQ on the official homepage says the maximum cost if you fail the test is $360. How this relates to the monthly billing that continues unless you cancel after failing is not explained officially and is under review.

How does the Take Profit Trader subscription work, and how do you cancel?
The Take Profit Trader Test is a monthly subscription with no end date. You are billed on the same day every month, based on your purchase date. There is no time limit on the evaluation, and payments continue for as long as you keep it.
| Situation | What happens to billing |
|---|---|
| You keep the Test | The monthly fee is charged on the same day every month |
| You pass the Test | The subscription stops automatically |
| You fail by breaking a rule | Not canceled automatically. Billing continues until you cancel |
| You reset the Test | A reset fee applies. The renewal date does not change |
| Payments keep failing | The account expires. Expired accounts cannot be reactivated |
The point to watch is that billing does not stop when you fail. Even if your Test ends because you touched the drawdown floor, the subscription remains. Once you decide not to continue, cancel right away. Where the cancel screen is and how it works are under review in the sources for this article.
On the other hand, billing stops automatically once you pass, so you do not need to cancel. After passing, the only payment is the $130 PRO activation fee, and PRO has no monthly fee.
The terms say purchasers waive the right to dispute payments (chargebacks). If you have a question about a charge, plan to contact Take Profit Trader support before your card issuer.

How much are Take Profit Trader resets? (Test and PRO)
Take Profit Trader has 2 kinds of reset: a Test reset and a PRO reset. The name is the same, but the prices and limits are very different.
Test reset ($79 to $199)
You can reset a Test at any time for a fee. It returns the account to its starting state so you can try again, and costs $79 (25K) to $199 (150K). A reset does not change your monthly renewal date.
PRO reset ($449 to $1,499, up to 3 per account)
A PRO reset restores a PRO account you have lost, up to 3 times per account. It costs more than a Test reset: $649 even on 50K.
| Size | Test reset | PRO reset |
|---|---|---|
| 25K | $79 | $449 |
| 50K | $99 | $649 |
| 75K | $139 | $799 |
| 100K | $169 | $999 |
| 150K | $199 | $1,499 |
Unlike the Test, the PRO drawdown also follows open profit during the day. If you trade PRO the same way as the Test and lose the account, this PRO reset fee is what it costs to restore it.

PRO+ cannot be reset directly
If you lose PRO+, you cannot reset PRO+ directly. You need to pass the Test again or reset PRO, and then move up to PRO+ again.

What are the Take Profit Trader commissions and data fees?
The comparison table on the official Take Profit Trader homepage lists round-trip commissions for the Test and PRO as "$4.50 / $1.50." In other words, each round trip costs either $4.50 or $1.50. Which instruments get which amount is under review in the sources for this article.
Commissions add up if you trade often. For 10 round trips, that is $45 at $4.50 or $15 at $1.50. Over 20 trading days, that becomes $900 and $300.
PRO+ commissions are not a fixed amount but broker rates. The official help center points to the NinjaTrader commission schedule.
Data fees
As of the official information checked 2026-11-04, there is no mention of charging users separately for market data. The refund clause in the terms says Take Profit Trader pays technology and market data costs to third parties on the user's behalf. Who pays when PRO+ switches you to professional data is under review.
Some trading platforms need a paid license even during the Test. Which tools are free and which are paid is covered in the platforms article. Withdrawal fees ($50 for $250 or less from the wallet) are covered in the payout article.

What is the Take Profit Trader refund policy? (72 hours, unused, minus $75)
Take Profit Trader refund conditions are set out in the terms. Only accounts within 72 hours of purchase that have not been used (no trades) qualify. The refund is the amount paid minus $75.
The terms explain the $75 deduction as covering technology and data costs paid to third parties that cannot be recovered. For example, if you buy a 50K Test at the $170 list price and ask for a refund within 72 hours without using it, you get $95 back.
| Condition | Official terms |
|---|---|
| Deadline | Within 72 hours of purchase |
| Account status | Must be unused (used or traded accounts do not qualify) |
| Amount deducted | $75 |
| Example (50K Test, list price) | $170 - $75 = $95 |
| Chargebacks | The terms say you waive the right to dispute |
A single trade takes the account out of refund eligibility. Even if you only mean to test the data connection or platform setup, decide whether you will really continue before placing an order. Whether reset fees and activation fees are refundable is not stated separately in the terms and is under review.

How do you sign up for Take Profit Trader? (Steps and KYC)
Signing up for Take Profit Trader goes in this order: register, verify your identity (KYC), buy a Test, trade, and activate PRO after passing. You cannot buy a Test before KYC is done.
- Register with an email address (only 1 email address per person)
- Complete identity verification (KYC)
- Choose and buy a Test size, and pick a data connection (CQG or Rithmic)
- Trade the Test and meet the passing conditions
- After passing, pay the $130 activation fee to activate PRO
Registration
At Take Profit Trader, each customer can register only 1 email address. You cannot use a VPN when you register. This is a registration rule, not a general ban on VPN use after registration.
Identity verification (KYC)
Take Profit Trader requires KYC for everyone who registers. It usually takes a few minutes, and manual reviews are handled 24 hours a day, 5 days a week (24/5). The result is approval, a request to resubmit, or a denial.
You enter your name, phone number and address. You can enter a phone number from a country other than the one you live in. Which documents are accepted (passport, driver's license, and so on) is not stated in the official information checked 2026-11-04 and is under review.
KYB, for registering as a business, is available only to US businesses. You apply after completing KYC, with up to 3 retries.
Buying a Test and choosing a data connection
Once KYC is approved, choose a Test size and buy it. There is no limit on the number of Test accounts, and you can trade several at the same time. The data connection is either CQG (through Tradovate) or Rithmic, and it determines which platforms you can use. Accepted payment methods are under review in the sources for this article.
See CQG vs. Rithmic at Take Profit Trader
Activating PRO after passing
After you pass, pay the $130 activation fee to activate PRO. You can activate up to 10 passed Tests as PRO in 30 calendar days. You can hold up to 5 PRO and PRO+ accounts at a time per person.
Main reasons registration is denied
The official Take Profit Trader help center lists registration from a restricted country, VPN detection, and other internal risk factors as reasons for denial. The details of the internal factors are not disclosed.
The firm publishes a restricted countries list (updated 2026-08-25, 119 entries). Before you sign up, confirm on the official site that the country you live in is not on it. Not appearing on the list does not guarantee that you can use the service. Whether the check is based on citizenship or residence is under review. Access from a restricted country, including trading and viewing data, can lead to account restriction after a single detection, and this includes access through a VPN or remote connection.
