Apex Trader Funding vs Tradeify: 50K Account Fees, Drawdown and Payouts Compared
At 50K, Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail costs a one-time $590 plus a $129 activation fee after you pass and expires after 30 calendar days, while Tradeify Growth costs a one-time $145 with no activation fee and no deadline (official sites, checked 2026-11-04). Since neither firm bills monthly, the other differences are in consistency rules, payout caps and counts, and how payouts reach traders outside the US. Everything below uses only the two firms' official sites and help centers, with both firms set to the same account size and conditions.
- Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail 50K costs $590 for the evaluation plus a $129 activation fee after passing, and the evaluation expires 30 calendar days after purchase. Tradeify Growth 50K costs $145 with no activation fee and no evaluation deadline.
- Consistency applies at different stages. Apex Trader Funding has none in the evaluation and 50% at payout. At Tradeify, Growth applies 35% at payout, Select applies 40% during the evaluation, and Lightning, which has no evaluation, applies 20% to 30% per payout.
- Apex Trader Funding PAs pay a 100% split with a limit of 6 payouts; Tradeify pays 90% and states no limit on the number of payouts. For traders outside the US, Apex Trader Funding pays through Plane and Tradeify mainly through Rise. Both firms publish restricted country lists, so check that your country of residence is not on them before signing up.
Short answer: which firm fits which conditions
Traders who do not want to pay anything beyond the evaluation fee after passing
Tradeify has no activation fee on any current plan. Apex Trader Funding also offers a No Activation Fee version with a $0 activation fee, but the 50K EOD Trail evaluation rises to $1,190.
Traders who want to skip the evaluation and start in a sim funded account
Tradeify Lightning 50K costs $492 and gives you a Funded account (simulated) with no evaluation. It cannot be reset; if you fail, you buy it again. As of 2026-11-04, both current Apex Trader Funding products require passing an evaluation before moving to a PA.
Traders who want to keep the full amount of profit at every payout
The Apex Trader Funding homepage says PAs pay "100% Requested Rewards" (100% of the amount requested), with no split at the sim stage. Tradeify sim funded accounts pay 90% on all three plans. Neither firm publishes the fees for receiving payouts outside the US.
Traders who want to keep taking payouts from the same account without a count limit
Apex Trader Funding closes a PA after the 6th payout. Tradeify Growth 50K caps each payout at $3,000 from the 4th onward, and the official pages state no limit on the number of payouts. At both firms, moving to a live account depends on the firm's review.
Traders who want no daily loss limit during the evaluation
Apex Trader Funding Intraday Trail, or Tradeify Select
Apex Trader Funding Intraday Trail (50K $249) and Tradeify Select (50K $165) have no daily loss limit during the evaluation. The drawdown moves differently: Intraday Trail follows the highest intraday balance including unrealized profit, while Select follows the highest closing balance.
This is not a ranking. Choose the firm that matches your own conditions, such as activation fees, how you receive payouts, and how you trade.
Apex vs Tradeify 50K comparison table: Apex EOD Trail and Tradeify Growth
Apex Trader Funding's current products are Intraday Trail and EOD Trail, launched on 2026-03-01 (the Legacy products, back on sale for a limited time, follow different rules and are not covered here). At Tradeify, the drawdown on every plan follows the highest closing balance, and Growth has a daily loss limit from the evaluation onward. The Apex Trader Funding product that matches both points is EOD Trail, so the main comparison uses EOD Trail Standard (the version with an activation fee after passing). For Tradeify we chose Growth, which has an evaluation and follows the same "pass the evaluation, then get a funded account" path as Apex Trader Funding.
| Item (50K) | Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail (Standard) | Tradeify Growth |
|---|---|---|
| Evaluation fee and billing | One-time $590 (list price). 30 calendar days from purchase | One-time $145 (list price). No recurring billing |

| Daily loss limit | $1,000 (fixed). Hitting it stops trading for the day | $1,250 (soft). Widens to $2,000 at 6% profit |
| Consistency | None in the evaluation. 50% for PA payouts | None in the evaluation. 35% for funded account payouts |
| Deadline and minimum days | Expires after 30 calendar days. No minimum days | No deadline. Minimum 1 day, but you must trade at least once a week |
| Max position size (evaluation) | 6 mini, 60 micro | 4 mini, 40 micro |
| Profit split | PA 100% (sim) | Funded account 90% (sim) |
| Payout requirements (main) | 50% consistency, balance of $52,600 or more. Official articles disagree on days: the payout rules article says 5 qualifying days ($250 or more per day), while the payout method article says "trade 8 days with 5 days of $50 or more" (which applies is under review) | 5 days with profit over $150 per payout, 35% consistency, balance of $53,000 or more |
| Payout method outside the US | Plane (fees under review) | Mainly Rise. Plane only when Rise is unavailable (fees under review) |
| Restricted countries | 87 countries and regions listed | 65 countries and regions listed |
Both firms set the max drawdown at $2,000, the line moves up based on the close, and it is enforced in real time including intraday price moves. The biggest differences in the table are the evaluation fee and activation fee, the daily loss limit, and the max position size during the evaluation.

How much does it cost to get funded? Activation fees and the 30-day deadline
Both firms charge once, but the Apex Trader Funding evaluation has a deadline. You get access for 30 calendar days from purchase, it expires at 6:00 PM ET on Day 30, and there are no extensions or resets. If you do not pass within 30 days, you buy the evaluation again. After passing, the Standard version requires paying the activation fee to activate the PA, within 7 calendar days of the "Passed" status.
The Tradeify evaluation has no deadline, so the evaluation fee does not grow however many days it takes to pass. In exchange, you must trade at least once a week (Monday to Friday) even in an evaluation account. If you fail by hitting the drawdown, you can reset Growth 50K for $95 and Select 50K for $109. Lightning has no reset; if you fail, you buy it again.
The table below shows totals if you pass in month 1, 2 or 3. For Apex Trader Funding it assumes you buy the evaluation once more each time it expires or you fail. For Tradeify it shows two cases: "never failing" and "one reset per month".
Prices are official list prices as of 2026-11-04. Sale and discount prices are not included. Taxes and payment processing fees are not included either.
| 50K (evaluation + activation fee) | Pass in 1 month | Pass in 2 months | Pass in 3 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail Standard | $719 | $1,309 | $1,899 |
| Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail No Activation Fee | $1,190 | $2,380 | $3,570 |
| Apex Trader Funding Intraday Trail Standard | $348 | $597 | $846 |
| Tradeify Growth (no failures) | $145 | $145 | $145 |
| Tradeify Growth (one reset per month) | $145 | $240 | $335 |
| Tradeify Select (no failures) | $165 | $165 | $165 |
| Tradeify Select (one reset per month) | $165 | $274 | $383 |
If you pass in 1 month, Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail Standard costs $719 (the $590 evaluation plus the $129 activation fee), and Tradeify Growth costs $145. The $129 in the Apex Trader Funding total is charged only when you pass; if you fail the evaluation, you do not pay it. Tradeify Lightning 50K has no evaluation, so the $492 you pay up front is the full cost of the funded account.
Refunds and payment methods
- Apex Trader Funding: no refunds at all (including the initial purchase, activation fees, data fees, and choosing the wrong plan). Payment is by Visa, Mastercard or Discover in your own name; American Express, gift cards and crypto are not accepted.
- Tradeify: all sales are final, with no refunds on account purchases, resets or other fees. If you pay with crypto, identity verification is required at purchase.

How do the rules differ? Drawdown lock, daily loss limit, consistency and trading hours
Where the drawdown line stops
Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail recalculates the line at the 4:59:59 PM ET close to "$2,000 below the highest closing balance". During the evaluation, the line locks at the profit target balance on Rithmic and WealthCharts accounts, but not on Tradovate accounts. In the PA after passing, the line stops once it reaches the starting balance plus $100 ($50,100 for 50K).
The Tradeify line updates the highest closing balance once a day. During the evaluation it does not lock on any platform. In funded accounts, the line locks at $50,100 when the closing balance exceeds $52,100 or when you request a payout, whichever comes first. Both firms lock at $50,100 after passing, but Tradeify also locks when you request a payout.
Daily loss limit and position size after passing
The Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail evaluation has a fixed daily loss limit of $1,000. In the PA, the previous day's closing profit sets the next day's limit and position size. For 50K: profit of $0 to $1,499 gives 2 contracts and $1,000; $1,500 to $2,999 gives 3 contracts and $1,000; $3,000 to $5,999 gives 4 contracts and $2,000; $6,000 or more gives 4 contracts and $3,000. The PA limit is enforced in real time; hitting it closes all positions and stops trading for the day, but the account remains.
The Tradeify Growth daily loss limit starts at $1,250 in both the evaluation and the funded account, and widens to $2,000 from the next session once the balance reaches $53,000 (6% profit). Hitting it does not fail the account; it only stops trading for the day. Growth and Lightning allow the full 4 contracts from the first day of the funded account. The official help center warns that fast markets can push losses past the limit, so the daily loss limit should not be used in place of a stop loss.
At which stage does consistency apply?
| Account (50K) | Evaluation | Payouts after passing |
|---|---|---|
| Apex Trader Funding (both Intraday and EOD) | None | Under 50% (largest profit day relative to net profit since the last payout) |
| Tradeify Growth | None | 35% or less |
| Tradeify Select | 40% (50% add-on available) | None (both Flex and Daily) |
| Tradeify Lightning | No evaluation | 20% for the 1st, 25% for the 2nd, 30% from the 3rd |
At both firms, going over the ratio does not fail the account. At Apex Trader Funding, the request button simply does not appear, and the calculation resets once a payout is approved. At Tradeify, you can request a payout once more trading days bring the ratio down, and hitting the limit exactly counts as meeting it. For an Apex Trader Funding 50K account whose largest profit day is $1,000, a payout requires net profit of more than $2,000.
Trading hours, news and automation
- Close-out time: Apex Trader Funding requires all positions closed by 4:59 PM ET, and holding past the close is a prohibited activity that can lead to forfeiture of the account and balance. Tradeify closes positions at 4:45 PM ET; any remaining positions are closed automatically, and that alone does not fail the account.
- News: Tradeify has no restrictions on any account (at your own risk). Apex Trader Funding allows trading with normal strategies but prohibits chasing the market or placing orders on both sides before a release.
- Automation: Apex Trader Funding states "No Automation or Algorithm Usage allowed". Tradeify allows bots that you alone own and prohibits high-frequency trading.
- Hedging: both firms prohibit opposite positions in the same or correlated instruments across your own accounts. At Tradeify, combinations within the same group, such as long ES and short NQ, are also violations, and the account fails automatically when the conditions are met.
Tradeify funded accounts also have a payout condition on short holding times. Unless more than 50% of your trades are held for over 10 seconds and more than 50% of your profit comes from those trades, you cannot request a payout. The account does not fail, but traders who close positions within seconds again and again should check this.

How do payouts compare? Caps, counts, profit split and non-US payout methods
At both firms, you request payouts from the sim funded account after passing (the PA at Apex Trader Funding, Sim Funded at Tradeify). At 50K, the minimum is $500 at both, but the growth of the per-payout cap, the limit on the number of payouts, and the profit split are clearly different.
| Payout | Apex Trader Funding PA (EOD) | Apex Trader Funding PA (Intraday) | Tradeify Growth | Tradeify Lightning |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | $1,500 | $1,500 | $1,500 | $2,000 |
| 2nd | $1,500 | $2,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 |
| 3rd | $2,000 | $2,500 | $2,500 | $2,000 |
| 4th | $2,500 | $2,500 | $3,000 | $2,500 |
| 5th | $2,500 | $3,000 | $3,000 (from the 4th) | $2,500 (from the 4th) |
| 6th | $3,000 | $3,000 | $3,000 (from the 4th) | $2,500 (from the 4th) |
| 7th and later | PA closed after the 6th | PA closed after the 6th | No limit on count stated | No limit on count stated |
Adding up the caps alone, the Apex Trader Funding EOD PA allows $13,000 over 6 payouts and the Intraday PA allows $14,500, after which the PA is closed. Tradeify Growth continues at $3,000 per payout from the 4th, and the official pages state no limit on the number of payouts. Lightning has a $1,000 minimum and requires reaching a profit target for each payout: $3,000 for the 1st and $2,000 from the 2nd.
Days and balance required to request a payout
| Item (50K) | Apex Trader Funding PA (EOD) | Tradeify Growth |
|---|---|---|
| Required days | Payout rules article: 5 qualifying days ($250 or more per day, need not be consecutive). Payout method article: "trade 8 days with 5 days of $50 or more". Which applies is under review | 5 days with profit over $150. The count restarts from zero after each payout |
| Required balance | $52,600 or more | $53,000 or more |
| Consistency | Under 50% | 35% or less |
| Profit split | 100% | 90% |
| Review and payment | Review within 2 business days, transfer 3 to 4 business days after approval, bank processing 3 to 7 business days | Paid to Rise within 24 hours of approval. Up to 72 hours outside weekdays 8:00 to 17:00 ET and on US holidays |
Apex Trader Funding's official articles describe the number of qualifying days differently. The payout rules article says 5 days, while the payout method article still says "trade at least 8 days, with 5 of them at $50 or more". Neither states which applies, so we show both and mark this as under review.
Receiving payouts outside the US
At Apex Trader Funding, traders living outside the US receive an invitation email from "Plane" after their first payout is approved and register there to receive funds. You need a bank account in your own name in your country of residence, plus a government-issued ID number or passport number. The firm states it does not issue tax documents to non-US traders.
Tradeify's main payout channel is "Rise", with an invitation from Tradeify Holdings, Corp. On Rise you complete identity and address verification, and non-US traders submit a W-8BEN; the firm says you can receive funds by bank transfer, crypto or local currency. Only when Rise is unavailable due to country restrictions, or you do not pass Rise's review, is Plane (up to 7 days, manual) used. Neither firm publishes the fees for receiving payouts.
At both firms, moving to a real-money account depends on the firm's review. Apex Trader Funding Live is by invitation, with a 90% split. For Tradeify Elite Live, the minimum for consideration is 3 payouts from one account or 10 payouts across all plans; the split is 80%, and unpaid sim profit does not carry over.

Before you sign up: eligibility, ID checks and what the official pages do not say
Neither firm officially states that it can be used from a particular country. This section lists only what the two firms' official terms and help centers say. Where something is not stated, we write "Not stated officially. Check the official site before signing up."
Restricted country lists and how eligibility is decided
- Apex Trader Funding: lists 87 countries and regions where new and additional accounts cannot be opened (as of 2026-11-04). Eligibility is judged by government-issued ID, primary residence, mailing address and bank account country, and you cannot buy, request payouts or trade while staying in a restricted country. Using a payment method issued in a restricted country is grounds for immediate termination, whether or not the payment goes through.
- Tradeify: lists 65 countries and regions where trading is not allowed (as of 2026-11-04). Eligibility is judged by country of permanent residence, and residents of eligible countries may trade while traveling in a restricted country.
- Both firms publish restricted country lists. Check on the official site that the country where you live is not listed before signing up. Both lists show an update date and can change.
Because the two firms judge eligibility differently, the treatment while traveling also differs. If you plan to travel abroad, check on both firms' official sites that your destination is not on the list before signing up.

FAQ
If both firms charge once, where does the difference in cost come from?
Mainly the activation fee and the evaluation deadline. Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail 50K costs $590 for the evaluation plus a $129 activation fee after passing. The evaluation expires after 30 calendar days, so if you do not pass in time, you buy it again. Tradeify Growth 50K costs $145 with no activation fee and no deadline, and a reset after failing costs $95.

Is Apex Trader Funding No Activation Fee the same as Tradeify having no activation fee?
Both skip the activation fee after passing, but the evaluation fee differs. Apex Trader Funding No Activation Fee is priced higher than Standard: $1,190 for 50K EOD Trail and $799 for Intraday Trail. Tradeify has no activation fee on any current plan, and the evaluation fee stays at $145 for Growth 50K.

Does Apex Trader Funding have a no-evaluation plan like Tradeify Lightning?
As of 2026-11-04, Apex Trader Funding's current products are Intraday Trail and EOD Trail, and both require passing an evaluation before moving to a PA. The homepage shows "Instant PAs (coming soon!)" (an upcoming product), but gives no details or pricing. Tradeify Lightning 50K costs $492 and gives you a funded account with no evaluation.

Should I watch consistency during the evaluation or at payout?
It depends on the plan. Apex Trader Funding has none in the evaluation; when requesting a PA payout, your largest profit day must be under 50% of net profit. At Tradeify, Growth requires 35% or less at payout, Select requires 40% during the evaluation and none in the funded account, and Lightning steps up per payout at 20%, 25% and 30%. At both firms, going over does not fail the account; you can request once more trading days bring the ratio down.

How do payout caps and payout counts differ?
The Apex Trader Funding EOD PA (50K) caps payouts from $1,500 for the 1st to $3,000 for the 6th, and the PA is closed after the 6th payout. The split is 100%. Tradeify Growth 50K caps the 1st at $1,500, the 2nd at $2,000, the 3rd at $2,500 and the 4th onward at $3,000, and the official pages state no limit on the number of payouts. The split is 90%. The minimum is $500 at both.

How do traders outside the US receive payouts?
Apex Trader Funding pays non-US traders through Plane: an invitation email arrives after the first approval, and the receiving account must be a bank account in your own name in your country of residence. Tradeify mainly uses Rise; after identity and address verification and a W-8BEN, the firm says you can receive funds by bank transfer, crypto or local currency. Neither firm publishes the fees for receiving payouts at a non-US bank, so check the official sites before signing up.

Which countries are restricted at Apex Trader Funding and Tradeify?
Both firms publish restricted country lists rather than lists of allowed countries. As of 2026-11-04, Apex Trader Funding lists 87 restricted countries and regions and Tradeify lists 65. Apex Trader Funding judges eligibility by ID, residence, mailing address and bank account country; Tradeify judges by country of permanent residence. Both lists can be updated, so check that the country where you live is not on them on both official sites right before signing up.
