My Funded Futures vs Take Profit Trader: Fees, Drawdown and Payout Rules Compared
My Funded Futures Builder 50K costs a one-time $153 with no activation fee and applies consistency only at payout, while Take Profit Trader Test costs $170 a month plus $130 to activate PRO and applies consistency only in the evaluation (official sites, checked 2026-11-04). Using only the two firms' official sites and help centers, we compared My Funded Futures (MFFU) Builder 50K and Take Profit Trader (TPT) Test 50K (PRO after passing) under the same conditions: a $3,000 profit target and a $2,000 max drawdown.
- On cost, My Funded Futures charges $153 once up front with a $0 activation fee. Take Profit Trader charges $170 a month until you pass, plus $130 when you move to PRO.
- The consistency rule sits at opposite stages. My Funded Futures Builder has none in the evaluation and applies 50% at payout after passing. Take Profit Trader requires under 50% in the Test evaluation and has none in PRO after passing.
- The drawdown after passing also differs. My Funded Futures Sim Funded stays end-of-day based, while Take Profit Trader PRO follows intraday moves including unrealized profit. For payouts outside the US, My Funded Futures uses Riseworks and Take Profit Trader uses its wallet, and two official Take Profit Trader articles describe the methods differently.
Short answer: which firm fits which conditions
Traders who cannot predict how many months passing will take and want to cap the cost up front
My Funded Futures Builder 50K is a one-time $153 with no activation fee after passing. As long as you do not fail and reset, the cost does not grow over time. In exchange, the account may be closed if you go 7 calendar days without trading.
Traders who want to take payouts after passing without watching a consistency ratio
Take Profit Trader applies its consistency rule only in the Test evaluation, and the homepage comparison table lists none for PRO. My Funded Futures Builder is the opposite: every payout after passing must meet 50% consistency.
Traders whose trades often run up large unrealized profit during the day and then pull back
My Funded Futures Builder uses end-of-day trailing in both the evaluation and Sim Funded, so the line does not rise with intraday highs. Take Profit Trader PRO follows the peak of realized plus unrealized profit during the day, so a run-up followed by a pullback shrinks your room.
Traders who want to withdraw everything they qualify for at once, without a per-payout cap
Take Profit Trader PRO has no cap on the maximum payout, and you receive 80% of profit above a $52,000 balance. My Funded Futures Builder 50K caps each cycle at $2,000 and allows up to 5 payouts in Sim Funded.
Traders who want to trade at the moment of economic releases or use their own automated system
My Funded Futures Builder allows trading during Tier 1 releases in both the evaluation and Sim Funded, and allows automation configured to your own settings (HFT is prohibited). Take Profit Trader prohibits bots and algorithms on all accounts, and in PRO you cannot hold positions or orders from 1 minute before to 1 minute after FOMC, NFP and CPI.
Traders who want to hold positions until close to the US market close
Neither firm allows holding overnight. The difference is the automatic close time: 4:10 PM EST at My Funded Futures and 4:55 PM ET at Take Profit Trader. Under US standard time, Take Profit Trader lets you hold 45 minutes longer. My Funded Futures states its time in EST, so how it applies during US daylight saving time is under review.
This is not a ranking. Choose based on your own conditions, such as how you want to pay, when and how you trade, and how you want to take payouts.
MFFU vs TPT 50K comparison table: MFFU Builder and TPT Test (PRO after passing)
Take Profit Trader has a single evaluation, the Test, which leads straight to PRO (sim) when you pass and to PRO+ (live) by invitation. My Funded Futures offers Builder, Rapid, Rapid EOD, Pro and Studio; here we chose Builder 50K, whose 50K list price can be confirmed on the public page and which is also the price shown in this comparison. Both have a $3,000 profit target, a $2,000 max drawdown, and end-of-day trailing during the evaluation, so the starting numbers line up.

| Daily loss limit | $1,000 (hitting it only stops trading for the day) | None (Test, PRO and PRO+) |
| Consistency rule | None in the evaluation. 50% at Sim Funded payouts | Test: highest profit day under 50% of total net profit. None in PRO |
| Deadline and minimum trading days | No deadline stated officially (one-time payment accounts may be closed after 7 calendar days without trading). Minimum 1 day | No deadline. Minimum 3 trading days |

| Restricted countries | 90 countries and regions listed | 119 countries and regions listed |
Other My Funded Futures 50K plans have list prices of $209 for Rapid and $265 for Pro; they apply consistency in the evaluation and change payout frequency and split (the Rapid EOD 50K price could not be confirmed on the public page).

How much does it cost? One-time vs monthly, and the total until you pass
My Funded Futures has switched new purchases to a one-time payment with no renewal billing. Earlier monthly subscriptions continue under the old terms. The official pages describe the cutover date differently.
| Official page | How the one-time payment cutover is described |
|---|---|
| Help center (inactivity policy, resets vs renewals) | New purchases on or after 2026-08-25 are one-time payments |
| Terms | Purchases before 2026-08-20 are defined as Legacy Subscriptions (the old monthly model) |
Take Profit Trader Test is a monthly subscription with no deadline, and it stops automatically when you pass. It is not canceled automatically if you lose the account for a violation, so cancel it yourself if you do not want to continue.
Total until you pass and hold a funded account
We compare passing in month 1 to 3, assuming no failures and no resets. For Take Profit Trader, the $130 activation fee is added to the number of monthly payments.
Prices are both firms' official list prices as of 2026-11-04. Sale and discount prices are not included. Taxes and payment processing fees are not included either.
| 50K (evaluation + activation fee) | Pass in 1 month | Pass in 2 months | Pass in 3 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| My Funded Futures Builder | $153 | $153 | $153 |
| My Funded Futures Builder (MLL $1,500 version) | $125 | $125 | $125 |
| Take Profit Trader Test to PRO | $300 | $470 | $640 |
Take Profit Trader costs $300 even if you pass in 1 month, $470 in 2 months, and $640 in 3 months. My Funded Futures Builder 50K stays at $153 however many months it takes. However, the account may be closed after 7 calendar days without trading, so long breaks are not an option.
Cost of starting over and refunds
A Take Profit Trader Test reset costs $99 for 50K, can be done at any time, and does not change the monthly renewal date. PRO after passing can also be reset, $649 for 50K, up to 3 times per account. My Funded Futures resets are available regardless of purchase date, but the price could not be confirmed on the official pages and is under review.
My Funded Futures' terms and help center state different refund amounts, so we show both.
| Official page | Refund conditions | Refund amount |
|---|---|---|
| My Funded Futures terms (Cancellation) | No trading (including market data access) and requested within 14 days of purchase | Amount paid minus a non-refundable $75 |
| My Funded Futures help center (refunds and cancellation) | No trading and account active, within 14 days. Breached accounts and crypto payments excluded | Full amount |
| Take Profit Trader terms | Within 72 hours of purchase. Used or traded accounts excluded | Amount paid minus $75 |

How do the rules differ? Drawdown type, consistency stage and trading hours
How the drawdown type changes between the evaluation and after passing
The My Funded Futures Builder maximum loss limit (MLL) is end-of-day trailing: it rises only when the end-of-day balance sets a new high. The type is the same in the evaluation and in Sim Funded after passing; in Sim Funded, once profit reaches "the drawdown amount plus $100", the line locks at the starting balance plus $100. The only numeric rule that closes the account is hitting the MLL.
Take Profit Trader Test is also end-of-day based: the line follows the highest closing balance and locks once it reaches the $50,000 starting balance. In PRO after passing, the amount stays at $2,000, but the line switches to following the peak of realized plus unrealized profit during the day, and it stops once it reaches the starting balance. PRO+, by invitation, returns to end-of-day.
At which stage does the consistency rule apply?
| Stage (50K) | My Funded Futures Builder | Take Profit Trader |
|---|---|---|
| Evaluation | None | Highest profit day under 50% of total net profit. Going over raises the required profit to an amount above "highest profit day x 2" (does not fail the account) |
| After passing (sim) | 50% at Sim Funded payouts | None in PRO |
| Live | None in Builder Live | None in PRO+ |
If one big day gets you to the target, My Funded Futures Builder does not mind in the evaluation, but the ratio is checked at every payout after passing. Take Profit Trader is the reverse: once you keep the ratio in line during the evaluation, PRO does not check it.
Daily loss limit, contracts and inactivity
- Daily loss limit: My Funded Futures Builder 50K has $1,000, and hitting it only stops trading for the day. Take Profit Trader has none on Test, PRO or PRO+. The homepage's 50K listing says "Daily Loss Limit $1100 Removed" (the $1,100 daily loss limit was removed), and the official pages do not state when it was removed.
- Max contracts: My Funded Futures Builder 50K allows 4 mini / 40 micro, the same in Sim Funded as in the evaluation. Take Profit Trader Test 50K allows 6 mini / 60 micro, and the homepage comparison table shows no scaling.
- Periods without trading: My Funded Futures one-time payment accounts, including Sim Funded, may be closed after 7 consecutive calendar days without trading. Take Profit Trader PRO requires at least 1 day and 1 round turn per calendar week (Sunday to Friday).
Trading hours, economic releases and automation
| Item | My Funded Futures | Take Profit Trader |
|---|---|---|
| Automatic close time | 4:10 PM EST (treatment during US daylight saving time under review). Half-day holiday sessions are not closed automatically, and failing to close yourself fails the account | 4:55 PM ET. Positions not closed by the product's session end are liquidated |
| Holding overnight | Not allowed | Not allowed (weekends also not allowed) |
| Economic releases | All evaluations and Builder Sim Funded may trade Tier 1 releases. Rapid, Rapid EOD and Pro Sim Funded may not trade 2 minutes before and after | No restriction in the Test. PRO and PRO+ may not hold positions or orders from 1 minute before to 1 minute after FOMC, NFP and CPI |
| Automation | Allowed if configured to your own settings. Strategies exploiting favorable simulated fills and HFT are prohibited | Bots and algorithms prohibited on all accounts. All PRO trades executed manually |

How do payouts compare? Buffers, caps and the path to live
At both firms, you can request payouts only from the sim funded account after passing: Sim Funded at My Funded Futures and PRO at Take Profit Trader, both with an 80% split to the trader. The differences are how the payable amount is determined and the path to a live account.
| Item (50K) | My Funded Futures Builder Sim Funded | Take Profit Trader PRO |
|---|---|---|
| When you can request | 48 hours after the first trade. 2 qualifying days per cycle | From day one |
| Buffer | $2,100, the MLL plus $100 ($1,600 for the MLL $1,500 version). Request once profit is $500 above it | $52,000 balance (starting balance plus max drawdown). The amount above it is eligible |
| Minimum and cap | Minimum $500, cap of $2,000 per cycle | Minimum under review. No cap on the maximum payout |
| Consistency | 50% | None |
| Fees | Under review (not stated officially) | $50 for $250 or less from the wallet, free above $250. PayPal may charge its own fees separately |
| Review and timing | Most approved instantly. Manual reviews take 6 to 12 business hours on weekdays | Account to wallet: Tradovate PRO automatic in 5 to 10 seconds, Rithmic manual. Wallet to external: approval takes up to 12 business hours |
| Path to live | Up to 5 payouts in Sim. Move to Live after the 5th is approved | PRO+ by invitation. No single criterion; the firm decides |
Here is a concrete comparison. To request the first $500 from My Funded Futures Builder 50K, you need $2,600 of profit, the $2,100 buffer plus $500, and you receive $400 after the split. To receive the same $400 from Take Profit Trader PRO, $2,500 of profit, $500 above the $52,000 balance, is enough. However, Take Profit Trader requires closing all positions in the PRO account each time you request.
Take Profit Trader says you can withdraw 50% of the buffer when you close a PRO account. With My Funded Futures Builder, after 5 payouts in Sim Funded you move to Live, and the Sim account goes dormant.
Receiving payouts outside the US
At My Funded Futures, you complete identity verification (KYC) and create a Riseworks account before your first payout, and sign an agreement on Riseworks at the first payout. Funds are received from Rise by bank transfer or crypto, and Plaid / ACH is for US residents. At Take Profit Trader, funds move from the PRO account to the wallet first and are then sent out in a second step, and two official articles describe the non-US methods differently.
| Official article | Stated non-US payout method | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Take Profit Trader: How to Withdraw from the Wallet | Wise or PayPal (within 12 business hours) | US banks via Plaid |
| Take Profit Trader: Payout System | Routable (140+ currencies, 220+ countries and regions), PayPal, Wise | LLCs use Wise (or PayPal in the LLC's name). Names must match |
| My Funded Futures: first payout guide | Bank transfer or crypto through Riseworks (Rise) | US residents may also use Plaid / ACH. Receiving fees under review |
After moving to a live account
Per the official pages, My Funded Futures Builder Live is a real account with "Blue Row Capital". The split is 80%, payouts can be requested daily, the minimum is $250, and there is no consistency rule. Take Profit Trader PRO+ raises the split to 90%, freezes $5,000 of PRO profit, and starts from a $0 balance. My Funded Futures says you cannot decline the move to Live, while Take Profit Trader PRO+ requires waiting for an invitation.

Before you sign up: eligibility, ID checks and what the official pages do not say
Neither firm officially states that it can be used from a particular country. This section lists only what the two firms' terms and help centers say. Where something is not stated, we write "Not stated officially. Check the official site before signing up."
Restricted country lists and eligibility criteria
- My Funded Futures: the help center's "Restricted Countries Policy" judges eligibility by citizenship or residence and lists 90 countries and regions (as of 2026-11-04). While traveling in a restricted country you may trade, but you cannot make new purchases or resets.
- Take Profit Trader: the help center's "Restricted Countries" article prohibits access from 119 countries and regions, including trading and viewing market data (article updated 2026-08-25, checked 2026-11-04). A single detection is enough to trigger restrictions, including access through a VPN. Whether eligibility is judged by nationality or residence is not stated officially. Check the official site before signing up.
- Take Profit Trader's terms say the site can be accessed from "most countries around the world", but that does not name any specific country.
- Both firms publish restricted country lists, and the lists can change. Check on the official site that the country where you live is not listed before signing up.

FAQ
At which stage does the consistency rule apply at My Funded Futures and Take Profit Trader?
At opposite stages. My Funded Futures Builder has no consistency rule in the evaluation and applies 50% at every payout from Sim Funded after passing. Take Profit Trader requires your highest profit day in the Test evaluation to be under 50% of total net profit; going over raises the required profit (it does not fail the account). PRO after passing has no consistency rule (checked 2026-11-04).

Does the drawdown behave differently after passing?
At Take Profit Trader, yes. The Test is end-of-day based, but PRO follows the peak of realized plus unrealized profit during the day and stops once it reaches the starting balance. My Funded Futures Builder stays end-of-day in both the evaluation and Sim Funded, and in Sim Funded the line locks at the starting balance plus $100.

How much profit do I need before the first payout?
With My Funded Futures Builder 50K, $2,600 of profit, $500 above the $2,100 buffer, lets you request the $500 minimum, and you receive $400 after the split. The other conditions are 48 hours, 2 qualifying days and 50% consistency. With Take Profit Trader PRO, you can request 80% of the amount above a $52,000 balance from day one. The minimum is under review, and sending $250 or less from the wallet costs a $50 fee.

Is it OK to skip trading for a week because of work or other commitments?
Both firms have inactivity rules. My Funded Futures one-time payment accounts, including Sim Funded, may be closed after 7 consecutive calendar days without trading, and the firm asks you to contact support in advance before a break. Take Profit Trader PRO requires at least 1 day and 1 round turn per calendar week (Sunday to Friday). The Test keeps billing monthly while you are away.

For payouts outside the US, which takes less effort: Riseworks or the wallet?
The official pages do not compare the effort, so we show only the steps. My Funded Futures requires KYC and a Riseworks account before the first payout, and you receive funds from Rise by bank transfer or crypto. Take Profit Trader moves funds from PRO to the wallet, then sends them out. For non-US methods, the wallet article says Wise or PayPal and the Payout System article says Routable, PayPal and Wise, so the articles differ.
